You are Jackson's best friend so you notice how weird he is acting today. You sit in Jackson's car after school with him driving to his house.
"Are you okay?" You ask gently knowing a single question can set him off into a fit of rage or sadness
"Of course." scoffs Jackson as he parks in his driveway
"Okay." You say softly before getting out of his car
It was now a few hours later, Jackson and you had just finished watching a movie. He was weirdly silent through the whole movie, not talking even once. Normally he is making funny or rude comments about whatever is going on. You look at your phone and realize you have to get going.
"Hey Jax, I better leave, my mom probably wants me home for dinner." You say standing up
"No! Please stay." says Jackson making you look at him confused
Never in your life have you heard him sound so urgent and pleading sounding.
"Jackson, are you feeling well?" You ask softly walking over to him
"I just want you to stay." He whispers softly
"Then I'll stay." You say sitting down next to him
"Really?" asks Jackson looking at me with shock
"Yeah, you're important to me and if you want me to stay, I'll stay." You say shrugging
"Do you love me?" asks Jackson looking in my eyes
"Yeah Jax, you know that." I say confused since I had told before I love him in a friend way
"No, I mean do you love me in a more than a friend way. Because I do." says Jackson shocking me
"You... you love me?" I ask not sure if I heard him right
"Yeah, I love you. You are always there for me even when I am a total ass to you. You always look out for me and help me. You are always there if I am upset or mad. I love everything about you. How when you get nervous you start to fiddle with your fingers. How about you twirl your hair when you studying. How you laugh and how you smile. You are everything to me." says Jackson smiling brightly at me
"I love you too." I say smiling at him
Then he leans in and kisses me. I feel fireworks and sparks everywhere. I can't believe my best friend/crush just admitted his feelings, and I admitted mine, and now we're kissing. I finally got the guy.
