Poems For People Who Don't Deserve Them

Character

My greatest accomplishment as a writer,
Is watching my own character development
happen before my very eyes.
To see myself every day in the mirror,
And be confident that I am just a better version of me when the sun rises,
Even when I don't believe it.
It is too satisfying to fathom.
Because even when I go through hardships and heartbreaks,
I know that it will create the person that I am supposed to be.
Even when I am stuck,
or lost.
Even when I can't see which end of the road is forward.
Especially when the world around me is pulling at my feathers as I try to fly higher.
I know that in the end,
my character development will be stunning.
All I have to do is keep writing.
