Ruba opened the door, stunned that this wasn’t her imagination. She couldn’t believe that it was actually real, actually happening and more importantly that her friends heard the noise when they were assuming that it was Ruba’s imagination.

They all gathered in the entrance of Ruba’s house, near the staircase. They all huddled together; scanning the area they were standing in just in case a mystical force was to approach them. Too late to even question that!

By this time they were all scared, in fact they were shell-shocked. They were speechless for words. Ruba, who witnessed this all early this morning decided to take control. They couldn’t just stand huddled near the staircase. There was something there that had to be dealt with.

“Okay… right. I’ll go upstairs with Willow. Amy, Joseph and Michael search downstairs since there are more rooms.” Ruba looked at them all in a knowing smile. “You see anything… scream… once you’ve searched, meet me upstairs in my room.” Ruba finished and grabbed Willow’s wrist pulling her to a halt on the stairs. “Good luck!” Ruba took a deep breath and headed upstairs with Willow.

Once they reached the top of the stairs, they entered Kaitlin’s room. They opened the door, scanning vigorously and then sighing in relief that there’s nothing there. They headed to the bathroom. They reached the bathrooms door handle and each exchanged smiles. They opened the door to see nothing….

Next and last room: Ruba’s room. They walked towards her door, opened it and once again saw nothing. They may have signed in relief; however deep down they wanted to find something. Something to put their minds at ease.

They both entered Ruba’s room. Just a second later, Ruba walked over to a floor board at the back of her room and opened it. She pulled out a spell book, willing to find a spell to put this all to an end.

Michael, Joseph and Amy searched the whole of downstairs and saw nothing. The three headed back to the staircase.

Amy protested. “I need the toilet. Wait here.” Amy left them and headed to the toilet.

Amy just finished washing her hands and picked up a white towel to dry her hands. She looked at herself in the mirror, thinking how to stop what’s happening. Nothing raced through her mind; however she did hear a drip-drop sound of water faintly at the back of her mind.

Amy’s thoughts stopped by the sound and followed the noise to where it was coming from. She started towards the bathtub and froze when the noise got louder. Her heart was beating fast; her palms were starting to sweat.

She lifted her arm and pulled back the shower curtain to find the tub full of water and exceeding its maximum limit, when she saw a familiar face in the water. Amy pulled herself towards the bathtub to see Naomi tied up with chains and tape around her mouth, drowning in the water.

Amy lifted both her arms and reached for Naomi to pull her out. She simply just vanished, nothing but water escaping her fingers. She shook her head in a what-is-going-on shake. She was confused, scared and terrified.

Amy composed her posture and turned around.

The scream that came next was deafening.

It was Naomi.

No, not Naomi. Naomi wasn’t there. It was a ghost of her image, drenched in water, tape around her mouth and chains wrapped around her, restricting her movement. Amy ran out the bathroom, screaming in shock. She ran towards Joseph and Michael and began to explain what happened. Joseph and Michael were trying to understand every word Amy was attempting to produce.

“Slow down…” Michael’s eyes widened. Amy took a deep breath and began.

“Naomi! She was in the bathroom, I-I saw her! She was in the bathtub drowning and I went to get her out but…she was gone, water sipping through my fingers…” Amy’s eyes widened and she continued. “ And then, I turned around. There she was, chained up, dripping wet. So I screamed and ran to you guys!”

“I-I, don’t know what to say Amy…” Joseph answered.

They were all in shock, no denying that. But what they questioned themselves was what did we do?

They all ran upstairs to Ruba’s room and slammed the door open and entered.

Willow’s and Ruba’s eyes averted to the slammed door that opened, foreshadowing Amy in shock and Michael and Joseph walking in.

“Come on. This is crazy! We need to do a spell… and fast!” Joseph spoke.

“Alright come on. Willow found a spell we can do.” Ruba replied. “Everybody sit in a circle. Picture your sitting in the middle of a pentagram, with three purple lights around us. Remember to face up!”

They all sat down in a circle, in the middle of Ruba’s room. Willow made clear that they have to chant a few words.

“Alright, guys. We’re going to need to chant a few words.” With that, Willow told them the words that must be chanted and they began, all in unison.

“PROTECT ME WITH YOUR MIGHT OH GODDESS GRACIOUS DAY AND NIGHT.” They chanted three times and ended their spell with. “SO MOTE IT BE.”

They heard a scream and assumed that the spell must have worked. Maybe it did – or maybe it didn’t? They weren’t sure. They were happy with what they’d accomplish on the first night and decided for a second round the following night.
