Like planets orbiting a sun,
our paths rarely cross
and when they do there's still
a vast distance in between.

Do you feel gravities pull
As lightyears apart, we pass each other.
Anchored back by other luminaries,
All stopping us from one last embrace.

A comet shoots through empty space,
not held by the same orbits trace,
how I wish we were so free,
then you could make your way to me.
