Naked, stark on the side walk
Darkness I used to hide in, though my face was always in the light
Exposed, seen through and discovered
Somewhere out of sight and undercover I did play
Stripped until my supple marrow is taken from the bone
Something saw right through me, once no body knew me
In their eyes I was in their likeness
Now they’re not all so sightless
There’s nothing to shade my skin from the light
of their burning eyes so bright
