There are so many frowns
So much sadness.
It curdles our coffee,
makes bitter our sweet tea.
Instead today, I adorn myself with the greatest weapon.
A Smile.
It is infectious when used right.
It will win the war.
I can see it tipping the balance,
the corner of your lip is crooked, fighting it away.
Today I refuse to fight it.
Today I refuse to hide it.
Today I will not be selfish.
I will send this note, with love.
I will help you forge a smile for your rain soaked face.
So help me win this war.
I don't want to see any frowns anymore.
No more bitter taste brewed in our mouths.
Just the greatest weapon and someone to spar with it.
