Bamboo in her left hand, wand on her right
She has her targets within her sights
Though she's calm and collected, still as the sea
More deadly currents run beneath
With each click of her needles she weaves a reality
A new world to which she hold the key
She sows seed stitches to sprout new life
Purls of wisdom, purls of strife
Bamboo stitches grow so fast
Sturdy enough to make happiness last
Wool weaving together a different past
She changes not only reality's hue
But works to alter its texture too
A true badger, through and through
She patches the holes in a world we knew
Her rib stitch breathes breath into broken chests
Her needles click on, her hands never rest
Sure and steady to help her friends
She falters not until the end
Tile stitches lay the ground, and don't bend
Netting stitch casts a blanket over the world
Unraveling the ancient purl
To rewrite history; a single girl
A knitter with a dream
A girl who's not as harmless as she might seem

Yay! Eleanor Ross, one of my favourite quiet badasses ever.

Once again, this is about a character by kmbell92 from her book Tightly Knit. If you haven't already read it, it's amazing, but most of you probably have.

Hope everyone's have a great summer, if you are, leave me a poem about it!
