Racing raindrops

Water sluices down the pane
Oozes through the misshapen frame
Pools on the floor where the damp stain remains
Pick your poison, take a chance
Once you choose don't change your stance
Let your soul live out our dance
Select a path that offers the fastest time
Dissipating reason and rhyme
Let the water wash away your every crime

It's fine

The deluge distorts and alters your view
Forget all you ever thought you knew
Don't block out the flood, in lieu
Let it rush through your ears and into your mind
Wash away any misdemeanours it may find
Ignore the fact you're running blind
Let honesty be reassigned
Let truth and hope be redefined

It's fine

Water hammers a path through your skull
Let it's soothing beat provide a lull
To render disillusion void and null
Let a river wash away the loathing and doubt
That are scattered like dust that won't get out
Let your tears turn the rainwater into brine
Blur the barrier between yours and mine
With your eyes trace each watery line

It's fine

And so are you

Ugh, I strongly dislike this poem but I committed to posting one everyday, so here goes.

Sorry for subjecting you to this guys.

I originally wrote this for my cousin when he was having a sexuality crisis, which fortunately was a good while ago now.

Thanks for reading.
