Jose's POV

New students, I scoffed to myself. They get worse everytime.

I looked over my shoulder to make sure Jay was following me. She wasn't.

Of course not.

I internally sighed, Where did you disappear to Jay?

Almost as if she could read my thoughts, I heard her call out my name. When I turned to where her voice was coming from I scowled.

What is she doing?!

Jay was walking towards me with her arm linked with a certain someone.

Ok let's just pause for a sec. Now I know who it is, and I'm pretty sure sixty percent of you know who it is. But for the other fourty I'm going to give you three clues.

Your first clue is she obviously has anger management problems. I mean seriously. She yelled at Paul! What did Paul ever do to her?

For those of you who haven't realized who Paul is, he is the scrawny red head with the glasses that recieved a quick smack down from-

Oops. Almost told you who it was for a sec. Anyways...

Your second clue is that she is blonde. Very blonde. Third clue, she likes to block doorways.

Now you have ten seconds to come up with an answer.

*10 SECONDS LATER*

Okay if you guessed blondezilla then you win the prize of knowing your not as stupid as 10 seconds ago.

So back to reality. I think we have been on pause long enough.

Jay and the blonde stopped in front of me. They had just finished laughing at something I had obviously missed.

When Jay stopped she gestered towards the blonde. "Jose, this is Eve. Eve, this is Jose."

The blonde girl smiled. "Hey."

I just stared at her.

I was kinda mesmerized. Just looking at the way shes dressed. So different from most girls. The way she was standing, all relaxed like she could care less.

Then there was her face. The perfect roundness to it. High cheek bones that were just so adorable when she smiled. then there was her lips... her oh so perfect lips. They were so small and pink.. I found myself wondering how they would taste against mine..

WAIT WHAT?!?!  Did I seriously just think that?  Oh my god.

I looked into her eyes to make sure she hadn't noticed anything and she was staring at me. Her light greyish-blue eyes were boring into mine.

Her eyebrows furrowed and her lips started to move. Oh god, those lips. Wait a second. She's saying something. Gee I should probably pay attention.

But she's so pretty...

Snap out of it!!

I blinked several times. "Im sorry. What did you say?"

She laughed. God even her laugh was perfect.

"I said we should probably get to class. We have first period together and it is safe to say I don't know where I'm going," she said glancing around.

"Oh," I nodded.

"Yeah. Umm this way." I started to lead the way.

Jay rushed a little to catch up to me.

"Hey," she said. "You OK?"

Concern was written all over her face. I just nodded.

"Yeah im fine." I even threw in a smile.

"Ok..." she said then hung back to wait for Eve.

Truth was, I didn't know if I was okay. I mean I was Jose! I don't get nervous around girls. I was no ladies man or anything but I could hold my own.

And yet a mere minute ago I couldn't even focus on anything but how beautiful she is.

But it doesnt matter. Girls like her don't go for guys like me. Bet by the end of the day she will have been sucked into the populars. I mentally sneered the word. She won't even remember my name.

Sad but true. Its just how things work around here. At Carolina High.

Girls like her become popular in a day.  And outsiders like me, well we get forgotten.

Forever.

Except for football fridays. Being the quaterback and all they gotta remember me then.
