Day 90

Expanding our borders, one foot of fence at a time, one hour of nightlight at a time.

Scavenging for food to feed those we have taken in. Mouths to feed, so many of them children. Planting seeds, watching the first shoots of green emerge from beneath the dark and rich soil.

We can't even send them out in the daylight hours to help, the adults. The zombies prey on them in the light. They are on them en-mass. A slaughter in the making.

It is funny, how the children are the last that the zombies attack. How it is the adults that fear first, and the Zombies zone in on them. Lambs for the slaughter. It isn't until later, that the children begin the fear, and the Zombies go for them.

We have adapted, changed with the light. Our skin growing darker, a nice carmel hue. Our hair growing faster, our nails thicker. Unnecessary hair, falling away. We loved the light and the light loved us back. We were cats, sleek and graceful and powerful.

The people we have saved, the humans...welcome Homosapiens, welcome to us, Homofelinious...meow! Hear us Roarrrr!
