Give Or Take Advantage

Saturday was just more of the usual.  Bachelor parties and birthday boys.  Daphne got her dramatic reveal when Bliss Divine asked her for some bronzer.  I would have thought the way that Daphne handed Gloria the bottle she would have sprained her wrist but girls are gluttons for pain.  Just look at heels and eyelash curlers and you can see what I mean.  Danny even played ‘White Wedding’ when Daphne went out on stage.  She was caught off guard at first expecting her usual Britney shit but she quickly recovered being the professional that she was and took advantage.  I think the bachelors tipped her more.  For some reason hitting on a girl you know belongs to someone else is a challenge.  Or maybe two engaged people make one single person.  I don’t know maybe it’s a momentary sense of being kindred spirits.  I’m not sure, I personally think it’s disturbing.  I guess I’m just old fashioned.

            After getting Vinnie to agree to help me I knew I owed it to him to tell him the truth about Noah and me.  Unfortunately he had to take Tori to Mackenzie’s and I needed to go to work.  I resolved that I would tell him tomorrow.  Before he picked up Tori.  I still had to text him tonight to let him know I wasn’t coming home.  I didn’t even have the balls to tell him that in person.  He was willing to break the law for me but I was reluctant to break his heart.  At least I will have a clean conscience by telling him before he actually goes through with it so he doesn’t feel like I omitted the truth to get him to do what I wanted him to do.

The plan was simple.  Vinnie was going to come into the club as Mark’s lawyer.  Since he had originally been his lawyer for the whole Frank incident it shouldn’t be that hard.  He is going to say that there were papers in the office that he needs to get since Mark is temporarily unavailable to do so.  Dominique would have to accompany him to the room and since I’m not sure of her involvement or not I will co-ordinate a temporary distraction.  Very brief though so Vinnie needed to move fast.  He knew not to touch anything he finds so we wouldn’t tip off those involved.  He only needed about three minutes to get in the drawer, look at its contents, and lock it back up.  We needed to take full advantage of the situation.  If during his fake search for “papers” gave us anything else that we could use it would just be icing on the cake.  I just needed to figure out a distraction because it couldn’t be me.  That would be too obvious. 

I made Daphne switch me Sunday at the last minute.  Although it was quick and didn’t give us much time to work out the plan it was Tanner’s night off and I didn’t want to wait another full week.  Tanner had been working six nights a week since Mark left but Sundays were a slow night anyway.  So Danny just put on mixed c.d.s and made sure no one got handsy.  I didn’t explain why I needed to switch to Daph because I didn’t want to lie to her and after all she thought ignorance was bliss. 

I just needed to figure out the distraction but right now the plan I have is much better than anything I had five hours ago.  I texted Vinnie quickly that I wasn’t coming home tonight not to wait up.  I didn’t make up an excuse.  I didn’t want to lie and I was coming clean tomorrow anyway.  If he pressed further I would figure it out then.  Luckily I didn’t need to figure it out or sit there pondering for long.  He quickly responded ‘okay’ smiley face.  I wasn’t sure what the smiley face was for.  I didn’t let myself become consumed by it either.  I went onstage and let the music wash over me.

The Fresh Meat competition tonight was to see who could get the most tips tonight.  Whoever lost was supposed to be eliminated.  Only our take on who was a loser was a little different.   The twist that they didn’t know was that depending on how well the winner did that they may be the loser.  No one wants a newbie to pull in more tips than you.  It’s intimidating to the older strippers.  So if the girl with the most tips has considerable more than the rest of us got, she is the one eliminated.  So I hoped for Georgia and Wren’s sake they didn’t do too well but for the sake of tradition I didn’t tell them.  If the girl with the most tips didn’t pull in too much cash then the lowest girl is actually eliminated.  Strippers are just like any other girls, we like to mess with people’s heads.
