My Brothers Best Friend

After Many Years

  It was about 7:10 when I woke up. The sky was barely lighting up by the sun.

  I went downstairs and got a glass of milk and went to the living room to watch T.V. There was nothing good on right now so I just settled on a show for little kids. Paw Patrol I think. I got my phone and just started playing games since I had nothing better to do.

  At around 8:40 Joel came downstairs all dressed. 

  “Going somewhere?” I asked. 

  “No. Yoyo said to get ready though. He told all of us to meet up here. I don't know why though. Something about a surprise?” He said mumbling the last part.

  I just nodded looking at the T.V. They are coming? I should probably get ready... bleh. I got up and left Joel watching Paw Patrol. 

  I looked at my clothes and settled for whatever was at the top. Black jeans, white tank top with a black Adidas hoodie over it, black and white authentic Vans, and my everyday black Onyx bracelet. I applied Vanilla Mint EOS and put on my glasses.

  I looked for my black bandana and once I had it, I put my hair in a messy bun and put on the bandana.

  The doorbell rang indicating someone came. 

  Obviously.

  Joel opened the door and Christopher and Zabdiel both came in.

  “¡Dimelo Papi!” They both yelled laughing.

  They came in and before Joel was able to close the door, Jaime arrived. They all greeted each other then they came to where I was seated.

  “¡Hola Yami!” They all yelled. 

  “Hola.” I said calmly.

  They each came up to me one by one and each greeted me one by one with a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

  Erick and Richard both came a couple minuets after and we waited for Johann to come so Yoandri can tell us what the surprise is, whenever he comes.

  None of the guys knew what was happening so we all waited patiently.

  After waiting for nearly 20-30 minutes, a knock was heard at the door and a very smiley Johann entered.

  “¡Buenos días muchachos¡” he yelled and looked over to me. "Y muchacha." He added with a soft laugh and walked up to me and gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek like the other guys did when they got here.

  Yoandri came in and did the same.

  “So Yoli,” Joel started. “¿Que es la sorpresa?”

  Yoandri's smiles grew wide making the corners of his eyes crinkle.

  How cute.

  “So Johann and I DO have a surprise, BUT!” He paused and looked over at me. “Es para Yamileth.”

  I raise my eyebrows in confusion. “For me?” I question. Why me?

  “Yes ma'am.” He smiled. “But before I show you, well we,” he corrected himself and looked over at Johann. “I need to put this over your eyes.” He came up to me, took off my glasses and gave them to me, and put a red bandana over my eyes. He even turned me around so my back was to them. 

  “Y ustedes no digan nada.” Johann said sternly I'm assuming to the guys.

  “Alright Yamileth. Now, you can't make a single sound alright. Not a single peep should come out of you. Got it?” Yoandri said.

  I nodded and heard him mutter an 'alright'.

  The door opened and I heard 2 pair of footsteps walk out the house whom I'm assuming is Johann and Yoandri.

  Barely even a minute later, both guys entered again.

  “Watch your step.” I heard them whisper.

  All the other guys gasped making me curious.

  “Alright.” Yoandri started. “Consider this as an early Christmas gift from Johann and I.” he paused. “Okay. Now, take off your bandanas but DO NOT, listen closely, DO NOT turn around.” he instructed.

  I took off the bandana like he said and put on my glasses.

  “When we count to three, turn around.” Johann said. “Ready...” he paused then both him and Yoandri started counting.

“1....

  2....

  3!!!”

I turned around and looked at what was in front of me. When I saw what, or, more like who, I let out a big, loud gasp and put a hand over my mouth.

  I can't believe this!

  No...

  Freaking...

  Way...

  In front of me were two people I never thought I would see again

  They had the same expression I had.

  Jaws dropped, eyes wide, speechless.

  My eyes watered and a couple tears escaped.

  “Oh my god...” I whispered.

  “Yami?” one said.

  I couldn't believe it.

  Ezequiel and Jeremiah were standing right in front of me.

  It's really them!
