Surprises (PT. 2)

(Part 2!!)

*Johann's P.O.V*

"So what are we going to do? Watch TV? Movies? Talk?" I asked when we finally got in the house. Let me tell you something. Whenever you go to your house, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A KEEEYYY!!!

Since this was Joel's house, he had the key. Yamileth hasn't gotten a replica of it. And Joel never did want to give us a key. I don't know why! Its not like we're going to break in or something. He probably thinks we'd go in early in the morning and wake him up... He must've forgotten he has a door bell. 😅

We went to look for a window that was open BUT!!! Joel being Joel, he locked every single window. There was one window that was slightly opened, and it was Yamileths. Bless her soul for it! So we jumped in through the window and went to the kitchen to serve ice cream :).

"How about we watch both your performances and eat ice cream!" she suggested.

Yoandri and I both agreed and up to her room. Joel's laptop was still there from when we were going to younow.

We each played on the bed with Yamileth in the middle.

I got Joel's laptop and I went on YouTube as Yoyo and Yamileth talked.

"Hey Yami? Uh, you know how back at the restaurant, you said all those things and you said something about 2 guys who were more like brothers to you?" Yoandri asked her and made me look over as well getting me curious.

"Oh. Uh. Yeah, what about them?" she asked him looking confused.

He seemed to hesitate for a moment before speaking up. "Who were they?"

Her hand went up to hold the necklace she was wearing as if it was an instinct. She got up from the bed and went to her luggage digging in it until she reached the bottom and grabbed something. She walked back to us and was about to sit down again when she got a white bear with a checkered bowtie that was a pretty big sized bear. She got it from where she was sitting and sat down.

She sighed and turned around what she was holding. It seemed to be frame. A hand made frame with a picture of 3 little kids there. 2 little boys that look awfully familiar and a little girl whom I'm assuming is her.

"Those two are the only ones I have ever trusted. Because of them, I've managed to make it this far. They were my only friends. They were like my older brothers. They were a year older than me (age difference!! I don't know if I put another age earlier... If I did, 1YEAR!! :)) Our school went from K-12 so we were always together. In elementary, I would always be with them. They would always be helping me with everything. I started that school since kindergarten. When I started middle school, that's when it all began. In 6th grade, new kids came. Those new kids ended up being Joel's 'friends'. They knew that I was Joel's sister even those him and I never hung out, but somehow, Joel's never knew about what his friends would do. When his friends would want to pick on me, one of them would take him somewhere else so he wouldn't know. Its started of by teasing but they," she pointed to the 2 guys in the picture. "They would always be there for me and they would protect me from the bullies. They wouldn't let them lay a finger on me cause they would automatically threaten them. One day, we were hanging out in this one place we would always be at and they told me something." she sighed heavily. Yoandri placed his hand on her wrist softly, since her hands were holding the bear and frame, and I placed mine on the other one. "They told me they had to move. When they were going to leave, I was over at their house to say goodbye to them. Their mom," she paused and breathed out a slight laugh. Her hand reached up to her cheek and a tear fell. "Their mom was like the sweetest woman there could ever be. She was just an amazing woman and I always saw her as my own mother. They all knew about my parents and how they always hated me but adored Joel. So she would always tell me that she loved and cared for me. That day, she was in tears because she said she didn't want to leave me. She would kiss me all over my face and tell me that she would miss me more than anything. And them, well before they left, they each decided to give me something before they left. One gave me the teddy bear. I don't know how he was able to give it to me! This bear was literally his life." she put the bear up. She pet its head and hugged it. "And the other one, he gave me the picture frame. And as if that wasn't enough, they both got me this necklace. From both of them."

She took off the necklace and showed it to us. It was a heart pendant. She flipped it and I noticed it had something engraved in it.

She put it back on and another tear fell but she continued otherwise. "When they left, that's when all hell broke loose. That's when all the bullying got worse. Like I said, they'd take Joel somewhere else and they would hurt me. Emotionally, physically, and mentally. They would be like, "Where are you saviors now?" or they'd say thing along the lines of that and just beat me up until I'm nearly dying on the floor. It would be be continuing right now if I didn't move here. Or I just wouldn't be anywhere anymore. I could possibly be dead." she finished off with a whisper.

"What are their names?" Yoandri asked her.

"Who? The bullies? Um they were J-"

"No. Theirs" he pointed to the picture.

"Oh! Theirs. Oh well they're Ezequiel and Jeremiah Cardenas." she said as she looked down at the picture with a smile.

Yoandri and I both look at each other with wide eyes. They're the twins who auditioned and were in La Banda with us.

"So what? Are we going to watch your guy's performances or not?" she said eating her ice cream.

"Right yeah. Let's start with our auditions. Yoandri first." I said looking for Yoyo's audition.

I found it and pressed play. After his was mine and we just continued watching all our performances until we finished them. We even watched the other guy's performances.

"There is just one more I want to show you..." I trailed off. She looked at me confused and I looked over at Yoandri and he nods.

I start looking for the video and tap on it making it go full screen. I placed the laptop on her lap and played the video.

When she saw who was on the screen, she let out a gasp and threw her hands over her mouth. "No way." she whispered. Again her eyes filled with tears.

The fans started voting making them get 100%. They performed and when the video ended she whispered. "Oh. My. God."
