Chapter 102

"Bye Lily," Milo smiled widely, hugging the red head tightly, "if any of the boys annoy you, I'm sure Finn and I can attempt to sort them out!"

Lily laughed softly, shaking her head as she spoke, "thanks Milo, but I think it's okay," she couldn't help the smile on her lips from spending time with the two boys and Adria who was helping Finn with his charms, something she had a knack for.

She wished to have some alone time, something completely understandable and announced that she was going to take a walk, "would you like me to come with you?" asked Adria after Lily had announced her soon departure but the red head merely shook her head no and embraced the three before setting off.

She didn't know where she was going, she just needed to clear her head, think about everything that had happened and the O.W.Ls that were nearing. She wished that Adria would resolve her problems with the boys, because she couldn't help but feel as though it was her fault, when it so clearly wasn't.

Adria was her best friend, her bestest friend, but the girl was also best friends with the boys, and there was an obvious change in the girl, that not only Lily had seen. She knew that she was missing Sirius, especially since she caught the girl staring at him a little too intently from the Hufflepuff table where her and Lily sat with Finn and Milo for dinner, it was upsetting to say the least.

"Lily!"

She couldn't help herself as she stopped, dead in her tracks actually almost frozen when she heard her name, it was so completely odd, it was the oddest thing she had ever heard, not her name, but the boy whose lips it had fell out off.

James Potter's lips to be exact.

Lily turned suddenly, seeing the boy jogging down the hall in his best attempt to catch up with her, and it almost caught him off guard to see her standing there, as though she was waiting for him.

Before he opened his mouth, of course, she spoke first, asking, "did you just call me Lily?" there was no anger laced within her voice, but rather, she was just completely confused.

"Well, it's your name," he whispered, laughing softly, "look, Lily, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, I took it too far, and at first, I'll admit, I thought it was a bit of fun, but then I saw your face, I saw how hurt you where, and I realised how much of a bloody arse I am, really, I don't know how else to tell you how sorry I am, I mean, I got you these-" he cut himself off, bringing the flowers out from behind his back, lilies to be exact, "but I suppose it's a bit cliché."

"Yes, it is," she bit her lip, unable to shake the fact that he looked far too adorable apologising in the awkward fashion he was, "and, besides, Pott- James, I'm not very fond of lilies."

His face fell, and Lily couldn't help but feel guilty, he ran a hand over his face, muttering about how much of a 'bloody idiot' he was, and through the midst of all this, Lily was surprised herself that she had accepted his apology.

She wasn't mad at him anymore, she really wasn't, and now, she just couldn't be. he went out of his way to buy her flowers and admit to his mistakes, be the bigger person and apologise, but when she talked to Severus, the boy didn't go on about himself or how sorry he was, but rather how much of a tosser James Potter was.

But the James Potter in front of her wasn't a tosser.

She let a sigh fall from her lips as she stood there in front of him, and she just couldn't help herself as she threw her arms around his neck, tightly hugging him whilst he froze in shock, unable to speak, but that didn't stop his mouth from opening as though he was going to.
