Chapter 8

"Oh."

I said awkwardly.
"Mom I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have put you through this..."

I trailed off thinking..

"OH MY GOD CODY!! Where is he? Does he know?!"
I asked.
"Yes he knows. He's at the neighbors."
She said smiling.
"Is Chris out there?"
I asked.
"Yes Chris and Matt ofcourse."
She said.
"Can I talk to Chris?"
I asked as she looked confused.
"Don't you want to talk to Matt first?"
She said looking at me strange.
"Uhmm we're still fighting... I just need to ask Chris some questions."
I said as she stood up.
"Okay what ever you want sweetie."
She said smiling and then left.
My eyes started feeling heavy again but I ignored it. I probably looked like a mess.

Chris walked in and didn't take his eyes from mine. I smiled at him as he sat down in the chair beside me.

"You don't know how hard that was."

He said sighing.

"How hard what was?"

I asked.

"Sitting out there with that asshole and taking everything in me not to get up and kick his ass in the hallway."

He gritted.

"When did you come back?"

I asked.

"From where?"

He said confused.

"Uhmm your house?"

I said as he looked at me and then understood what I was saying.

"I never left the hospital."

He said casually as my eyes widened.

"Where did you sleep!?"

I asked freaking out. Why would he sit in this hospital for 2 days straight! What did he tell his parents?

"Right here."

He said smiling as my heart dropped.

"Y-You slept in the chair? You didn't have to do that Chris! Why didn't you just go home and come back the next day or something!?"
I asked freaking out. He slept in the chair beside my bed? That's so sweet! I mean nice.

"Well your mom had to go home to your brother.. Asshole left and I didn't want to leave you."

He said shrugging.

My eyes filled with tears. He's done too much for me. He's the nicest person I have ever met along with my dad. I really don't deserve him here.

"Thank you."

I said hugging him.

"For what?"

He asked.

"Everything."

I said smiling.

"Ally I wanna talk to you about something."

He said nervous.

"Yeah?"

I said confused.

"I think it's time for you to tell someone about asshole."

He said as my eyes widened.

"No way. I told you Chris I don't want anyone to know!"
I said freaking out a bit. I had already told him no one could know!

"And stop calling him asshole. He has a name."

"Yeah asshole."

He said with a smile as I slapped his arm playfully.

His eyes went serious and he looked down at the floor running his hand through his hair and sighing.

"Please just don't tell anyone. It's fine, he'll stop if I just start acting better."

I said as his head snapped up.

"Ally think about it... You say you need to start acting better but what have you really ever done wrong?"
He asked sadly.

My heart started beating faster... because I knew exactly what I did wrong. I paused for a moment.

"I...... Started liking the new kid."
