Your character needs to grow.
//They need to blossom.
Look at Carol ffs!
She was a happy-go-lucky housewife season 1-3, then she starts developing we see this when they move into the prison and Rick says that she's getting a good shot with a rifle.
After that she continues to develop and adapt.
It's what makes the show good; the fact that we see the characters develop and change.
Okay. That was a bit of a rant. Phew.
