#14 Kihyun - Monsta X [New Year] + A/N

You were looking for something warm to wear because it was freezing outside also your boyfriend, Kihyun proposed that you could spend the 31st of December together.
You searched for some pullover and finally found a dark blue with snowflakes on it, which was fitting ideal to your black jeans. You wore boots, jacket and a scarf then your door bell ringed 'ideal timing' you thought smiling to yourself and opening the door.
Kihyun stood there with tint pink on his cheeks because of the cold weather, "Hey, you ready?" he asked and took your hand after you nodded.

You got to his apartment in a short time and he lead you to the living room where he had already prepared some snacks and some blankets.
"What a lovely pullover you have" he commented with a grin and you smiled sitting next to him on the couch and hugging him tightly, "I know, I've got it from the best boyfriend in the world" you replied and kissed his cheek.
He took a blanket and wrapped it around you and started a movie you choose.
You laid your head on his chest and he played with your hair making you sleepy and before you knew you fell asleep.

It was 15 minutes till the new year and Kihyun looked at you sleeping, he smiled at your cute face and woke you up "Hey, (y/n) wake up the fireworks will start soon" he shook you lightly and you blinked your eyes at him then looked at clock hanging on the wall.
"What?! It's already that hour. Why didn't you wake me up earlier?" you asked pouting and he laughed at you "You're so cute jagiya" he said pinching you cheeks.
"You were sleeping so good and even mumbled something like 'I love you sooo much oppa' so I thought that you had a great dream about me" he stated emphasing the part you said while sleeping and you hit him in chest lightly.
He then gave you an eye smile and your cheeks went in a deeper shade of red than they were before.
"Aegyo, you're just too sweet when you blush" he kissed you on the top of your head then he got up and took your hand to help you.

Kihyun took the blanket and wrapped it around you, you went to the balcony to watch the fireworks.
As you were standing there you could hear some if the neighbors countdown "7.. 6... 5.." Kihyun placed his hands on your waist and brought you closer to himself "4... 3..", "I know you know it already but I love you so much", "2..", "You're my better half, my cutie pie and my everything", "1..", "I really do love you" he kissed you and the fireworks went off.
You kissed him back and when you pull away for a breath you said "I love you to oppa, you're the best thing.. that happened in my life and.. I'll love you.. for eternity", he smiled at your cheesy words and hugged you tightly.

While staying in that pose you looked at the sky and the fireworks were everywhere. They were really beautiful, many colors had been shining in the night sky making the both of you glitter in thousands of shades.
"I'm happy that I've got to spent this great year with you" he said and you nodded "And I hope this one will be the same or even better".
