My heart finally opened up to you,
Words of desperation filled your room to the roof,
I unleashed the words I kept for years,
And they came out in tired scream and tears.
You couldn't take it or fix it either way,
My lips are sealed and I just can't look for any reasons to stay.
Words are too powerful for you to handle,
And I have to be brave enough to blow out our candle.
There's a whole world for us to explore,
But maybe just not together.
So I'll swallow all my broken pieces and say it with a smile,
I hope you find someone who'll stay for a while.
