NOTE: I feel like I've said this a thousand times, so I'm just putting it up here: Strong, Happily and other songs from MM are already in DMG's playlist. I love that you think of this whenever you listen to them, but I've already said to you that it's there, and you still keep suggesting. So, if you wanna know which ones aren't, just check the playlist on my blog: danimgomes.tumblr.com. Thanks. Enjoy the early update.

                                                                     76.

It was getting colder each second, and the fact that I was standing with no chance of moving at all (there were way too many people next to me), was not helping at all. The several bodies around me didn’t provide much warmth, and the cold was still hitting me somehow.

I hated airports.

But still, there I was, all on my own, staring at some door from where Tyler and Zach would be showing up at any moment. And not that I was complaining – much – but they could pretty much hurry up, couldn’t them? I just really needed to go home and sleep off this tiredness and the urge I had of running away. It wouldn’t help much, either, and I had quite a few important things to do now.

I checked the hour on my phone once more, standing on my tiptoes and craning my neck up to try and see something between the sea of heads, but there was nothing there yet. After something like fifteen minutes of impatiently tapping my foot on the floor and peering up quite a few more times, Tyler and Zach came out the door behind a few other people. It took them a while to find me, but once they did, I had Tyler running towards me like crazy, letting his bags behind so Zach could take them, and a blink of an eye later, I had him wrapped all over me.

It was not like I wasn’t happy to see Tyler, because I was, really. I had missed him, not only during the last week I’d spent all alone, but whilst I’d been with Harry, too. Wanting or not, I’d spent a lot of my lifetime with Tyler, so I had got used to his presence, somehow. But… I wasn’t particularly on the mood to give hugs and smiles, especially with such a cold surrounding me, instead of brown locks and his wool loosen sweaters.

“K.!” Tyler cheered, lifting me briefly from the floor, crashing my bones a bit between his arms. “God, I missed you! You won’t believe how much fun we had there.”

I nodded quickly, pushing him away and looking at Zach smiling fondly behind him. He waved a hand in the air discreetly, muttering a ‘Hey, K.’ and approaching to give me a quick hug as well. It was the usual half hug, since Tyler already had one of his hands wrapped around my waist and the other one stretching towards Zach to get his bags back.

“Tell me it all during the ride home. Right now let’s get the rest of your stuff.”

He kissed the side of my head in agreement, and the rest. Well. Is the rest.

I had my head resting on the frosted window, my fingers playing with the hem of my shirt as Tyler drove silently, Zach doing something on his phone on the seat behind us. I was pretty much feeling comfortable with the silence that was set, getting really close to fall asleep, but Tyler broke it.

“Hm, well. So, besides going out and getting to know freaking New York,” he stated, beaming from ear to ear, and Zach shifted on his seat, apparently knowing what was going to come next. “We did really well in the competition.”

And oh, okay. The competition. The only thing he didn’t mention to me whenever he called. Had said he wanted to make it a ‘surprise’, wanted to see my reaction when he told me the results of his hard work, and so I prepared myself, straightening my back, too, and putting on an excited smile that I hoped made me look like as if I actually wanted to hear the whole story.
