warning: this chapter needs to be rewritten. I'll work on it and as soon as I repost it, I'll let you know. Also, I posted an introduction to Angel's short story (click the external link)

"Angel!” I yelled as the little girl put her little feet on my high heels and started walking around the house, making a deafening noise on the wood floor of the living room. “Take these off! For God’s sake, I’m almost ready. Just sit your sweet little ass down on the sofa and wait,” my gaze came back to focus on the reflection in the mirror, putting my hair up in a ponytail, and letting me oblivious to the fact that Angel was walking inside the room with my shoes on her hands.

“You know, you really shouldn’t say those things to a kid. Mum would probably murder you if she ever knew what a bad influence you’re being to this sweet little girl right here,” she leaned on the doorframe and smiled proudly at me, knowing I’d do anything for her not to tell Lana the loads of bullsh—t I said when I was next to her. I really tried to hold it back but at times I just couldn’t; it just came out of my mouth naturally.

“Well I guess I’m lucky she’ll never know,” I heard as Angel giggled and put my high heels back on its place, jumping on my bed right after. She focused on tying her own shoes again while I grabbed her coat that was hanging behind my door.

“There’s no way you can know that for sure, Kirs.”

“You wouldn’t do this to me. C’mon! I’m taking you out and you’re still blackmailing me? That’s not really nice of you, little evil mind,” Angel just shrugged at my words and soon she was next to me, quickly taking her coat off my hands and struggling to wear it.

We were going out for a walk downtown, since she’d been begging for it during weeks. Now that Tyler was finally back home, I could relax and stop worrying whether he was alone or not at the hospital. He definitely didn’t have that problem at home; he didn’t bother to be alone in his own place, with no judgmental people around him. He was still recovering from the fight he got into, and he still had some parts of his body plastered (basically his leg and his right arm), but he could walk with the aid of a crutch. That’s why I didn’t worry much about going out with Angel and leaving him alone; he could take care of himself for a few hours.

“Hey, Ty, do you want me to bring you something?” Angel asked, kneeling next to Tyler on the sofa and looking at him with excitement and hope in her eyes. I watched as she squeezed his hand on hers, playing with his fingers while he thought about an answer to give.

“Umm… Not really, babe. But thanks,” Tyler said, holding her hand and carefully pulling her into a hug, trying not to let too much of her weight fall on him, otherwise he’d get hurt.

“Kirs, leggo. We gotta go to lots of places today and mum said we have only until 8pm. Bye, Tyler.” She waved one last time before cheerfully walking out the front door with that huge smile on her face.

“Hey, Ty. Try not to stay in this stupid sofa all day long, and call your friends. As long as they keep things in place I’m okay if they make you some company.”

“Don’t worry, I will.” He smiled, and I stared at him for a while, trying to find out if he really meant if or if he was saying that just to tranquilize me and completely ignore what I’d said later. Soon I got to the conclusion that he meant it, so I bent down and kissed his lips quickly.
