Pov: Mitch
"Mitch, I got your coffee." Scott said at my door
"You can come in." I said
He came in and sat on my bed. "Here" He handed me the coffee.
"Thanks."
"You guys used to be so close. You guys always hung out and you spent the night at his house a lot." he said talking about Avi again
"I want him but close but close ain't close enough." I said
"I get that."
We were silent for a while. Scott and I got through a lot together over the years and sitting together in silence somehow helped sometimes. We have time to think about it.
"I want you to talk to him." he said more like demanded
"Give me a good reason to."
"You love him."
Those three words were like a punch in the face because, well, they were true.
"Yeah, but you never told me that you were in love with me." I said
"I had my reasons for that."
"Like what? Huh? Tell me."
"It's complicated, Mitch, it's just." He took a pause "I knew you didn't feel the same way."
"Yeah? How would you know? You never fucking told me." I said about to cry
"It's not a big deal. I got over you." he said
"Well I'm glad that was easy for you." I said so angry. I didn't know completely why. Maybe because, I loved him back.
"It was hell. I couldn't handle it but I did somehow." he was practically telling
"Well, who knows maybe if you told me you wouldn't have had to go through that!" I yelled back
"What?" he was confused "you loved me back?"
"Maybe." tears were coming down my cheeks. "I dont know and you didn't either."
"It's okay it's over with now." he said trying to comfort me with a hug. "I've got Alex now."
"Yeah and I have no one."
"You have Avi."
"I don't want Avi. I want you."
