Chapter Thirty Four

Turning around slowly  to look at the man that interrupted the moment, and was obviously not welcomed by the man that was holding me in his arms, I only manged to get a slight glimpse of him, before Seth pushed me behind himself protectively, a warning growl slipping past his lips.

"No need to get protective," The man spoke almost instantly, taking a step forward, his shoe slowly crunching the ground as he shifted his body weight. 

Leaning slightly around Seth, the feeling of protection surrounding me with Seth's body in between myself and the unknown man, and took in the man's appearance. 

He was quite tall, and looked to be just a few years over twenty. There was slightly scruff on his chin, and brown hair that was cut short on top of his head. He wore a pair of dark wash jeans, and an unbuttoned shirt, exposing his abs. I would have most likely found him attractive in the past, but now it was solely Seth that captivated my every thought. 

As I examined the guys appearance, I couldn't help but notice the  scar running from his hair line, over his eyelid, and stopping just before the corner of his lip. I didn't want to be rude and stare, but the curiosity that I felt towards the scar was overwhelming. 

I most likely would have stared at it until I came up with a logical reason for the scar, but a quick glare from the unknown guy aimed in my direction had me gripping onto the back of Seth's shorts, and closing my eye tightly together as I leaned into his strong back, feeling like a child as I found comfort instantly from his simple touch.

Seth growled in warning towards the guy, and I heard the man chuckle lightly. "Glare at her one more time and see what happens," Seth threatened, his voice laced with the anger he was trying to hold at bay, his gaze set on the man. 

The man laughed at his threat, "Seth always the protective one..." He spoke, oddly knowing Seth's name, "Maybe you should get your-" He continued stopping short for a moment before continuing, "Human, to stay in line..." He finished, his voice sounding amused over the fact that I was human. Shaking with fear, I clutched tighter onto Seth's shorts as a tear slid down my cheek. "What ever happened to Nicole? Nicole, that was her name right?" He spoke directly to Seth, changing the topic suddenly.
