I gave Abe a genuine smile. It felt nice telling someone, it was like a weight was lifted off my shoulders as I rambled on and on, sobbing and hiccupping through my whole story. He just nodded and patted my back, frowning and grunting when needed.
“Mia.” He breathed out. “How the hell could you keep such a thing?! I couldn’t keep my mouth shut even if the world depended on it!”
I grew silent and stared at him. My head was whipping with different thoughts of Abe selling me out. “But Abe..”
“It’s not my place to tell.” He said winking and I smiled at how easy he was taking this.
“But you know this is not a good idea. Not good at all.” He said his face getting serious and I hung my head.
“I know! It’s just one summer. Give me ONE summer and I’ll tell them. I promise.”
“Like I said Mia, It’s not my place to tell. After the summer is good, but promise me you’ll tell them as soon as it’s over.” He said giving me ‘the look’.
“Fine.” I grunted as he held out his hand and pulled me off the ground. We walked side by side, all the way back to my house and I faced him.
“So ..”
“Your secret’s safe with me.” He said winking. “Actually it’s a great thing, so I can help cover when we’re in Bora Bora.”
“Bora Bora?” I asked cocking my head to the side.
“Yeah, Jackie said your mom let you and your twin come with us to Bora Bora .. You are coming right?” He asked running a hand through his hair confused. I stood there my mouth hanging open, thank god no flies snuck in! BORA BORA?!!
“WHAT?!” I yelled jumping up and down like a four year-old. “WE’RE GOING TO BORA BORA BEACH!”
“Oh shit! You didn’t know? Fuck. Jackie’s gonna kick my ass .. Please don’t tell her I said?” He gave me the puppy dog look and I almost melted at how cute he looked.
“S-sure.” I stuttered blushing like a fool.
He laughed and hugged me, then walked backwards making the zip-lock-throw-away-the-key gesture. He tripped on something but caught himself just in time. I rolled my eyes.
“Dork.”

“Hey ..” Jackie said in a weird voice.
“Jackster, I’m so so so sorry! But I don’t think I can make it tonight.” I said anxiously waiting for her reply.
“...”
“Umm, Jackie?”
“...”
“Hello ..”
“Kay.”
“Kay? I’m really sorry! I swear! Please don’t be mad.”
“JOLLY ROGERS BITCH!” She yelled in a high-pitched voice making me flinch.
