"HEY BEN," My roommate yelled as he entered the perfectly clean apartment we shared.
"HEY LEO," I yelled back. He wondered into the kitchen where I, for the third time that day, was cleaning the table.
"Dude I told you to stop with this excessive cleaning, It makes me feel like I'm living in a hospital," Leo laughed grabbing the rag from my hand. I felt my breath hitch, I didn't get to finish cleaning it.
check, check, check, organize, repeat, repeat, repeat...
Those words replayed in my head as I clenched my hand and moved onto going to lock the front door.
always lock the door
I turn the lock and jiggled the doorknob.
check.
I unlock then locked the door, jiggling the knob.
again.
and again I unlock the door, then lock it and jiggle the knob.
it's not locked, check again.
Unlock... lock... jiggle.
I breathed a sigh of relief, it's for sure locked.
