Lorraine's POV

"Sa umpisa lang naman 'yan sweet!"

Why is it like this? It's not funny anymore! I always see sweet couples everywhere.  I mean, I don't even want a boyfriend, pero nakakainggit sila tignan. I lowkey wish to find a partner too and do cute and stupid things together. It's just that sometimes, it feels like I'm the only one left behind.

"Bitter."

"My gosh. Lorraine hayaan mo na 'yang nang-ghost sa'yo 'no!" Maxine said, her voice filled with concern as she placed a comforting hand on my shoulder.

"Hay!

"Don't worry. Mahahanap mo rin si Mr. Right mo sa tamang panahon," Maxine said sabay tawa.

That's too baduy pero ang sweet rin ng sinabi niya. Not gonna lie, I really don't like the idea of finding Mr. Right. That's actually the weirdest thing I've ever heard.

Ginulo nila ang buhok ko, these girls are so annoying. Ang tagal ko inayos 'to, 'no. Matagal pa ata akong nagsuklay kaysa nag-aral ng lecture namin.

"Sorry ha, may training kami today. See you nalang guys, babush!"

"No worries, I'll be fine," I replied.

"Maaga pa naman kaya samahan muna kita dito."

Ngumiti nalang ako kay Cyan. I know naman na gusto lang rin nila akong magkaroon ng time alone. Ang tagal na naming magkakasama. We also know how to respect each other's time and besides, paano kami makakahanap ng Mr. Right kung lagi kaming magkakasama tatlo?

"Tara punta tayo sa book store, may bibilhin lang akong libro," dagdag pa niya. Tumango lang ako at sumunod.

Her love for books was both a curse and a gift. She would get lost in the pages, feeling every emotion of the characters as if they were her own. She would laugh, cry, and fall in love with them, only to have her heart broken when the story ended. They were her friends and lovers. I wondered how she could spend hours reading, while I would fall asleep after just a few pages. She was also a fan of movies and telenovelas, the perfect definition of a hopeless romantic.

Later, we went to a bookstore, and I got lost in the sea of books for almost an hour. Cyan was with me, and I noticed how she would pick up a book, admire the cover, and put it back on the shelf. She was like a kid in a candy store. Ako rin, I had fun searching books with beautiful cover page. Although, wala akong balak bumili dahil for sure, idi-display ko lang ang mga iyon sa kwarto at never na ulit gagalawin.
