Confused I turned to him- expecting a explanation, surprisingly instead he  stares intently at the fountain.

"Beauty." His velvety voice chuckles.
"It's very weird isn't it?" Not giving me time to reply he carries on "something that everyone views as beautiful or perfection could become something so dark- so intimidating in the night. Beauty hides many things, it's hides the hurt of the real world, the hurt that people make you feel, but all that fades at the end of the day- in the dark we are the most vulnerable, all of our souls- fears are showcased to anyone who cares enough to look inside."

After his little speech, I couldn't help myself from moving closer, closer to him. Closer to his words, to his hidden pain.

Slightly adjusting his head so that he's facing me he releases a breathy laugh, but I know it's just to ease the silence. His echoing laugh comes to a awkward stop. Deciding that I had nothing to loose, I angled myself adjacent to his face, well his neck in my case. Then I dived in. Into his warm toned chest. Wrapping my arms tightly around his torso, I nestled my head into his neck, inhaled his heavenly scent, sighed in content.

Hesitantly, he placed his arms around my waist, resting his chin on my head. Sniffing my bubble gum scented hair, he, like myself, sighed in content.

Swaying back and forth, we begun to dance, no music, no spectators, just us, in our own world.

And on that peaceful night, we were just two misplaced teenagers, dancing by the fountain, in harmony. Although strangers, we had never felt more at home.
