His soft spot.

chapter 4

I got out of my trance and walked towards the cupboard to get the first aid kit out.

I grabbed a handfull of cotton and purred some iodine on it to treat the deep scratch he had on his upper shoulder.

I walked back close to him and stood in front of him as I started treating his wound.

I noticed that his eyes were studying my face all the while I was cleaning his wound up,which was quite deep I must say.

''I'm not a professional at this,I'm not sure if its good that I'm treating you in stead of a doctor'',I said trying to distract myself from my nervousness.

I couldn't help but be intimidated by him..I had never in my life encountered a gangster or any other sort of criminal, and I definitely did not expect him to look so beautiful..so handsome.

I knew from his eyes that he was handsome, just didn't know how exactly he looked since he  always wore that mask.

''It is'',he said stubbornly with his deep manly voice. He looks young and yet his voice makes him sound a bit older than he looks.

He looks to be no more than 25-26 which means that he has started in this gang business in a much younger age.

As I applied bandaids to his scar,I couldn't help but be slightly scared by the muscles on his arms.

''Are you part of the city's ruling gang?'',I asked him randomly.

''No I'm not part of it'',he said looking at my eyes.I felt my face heating up but luckily for me my blush is rarely obvious.

''You're not?'',I asked confused.

''No,I run the gang'',he said making me throw the cottonball I was holding to the ground.

He watched the movement with his eyes and then bent down and picked the cottoball up.

''You're the gang's leader?'',I asked trying not to stutter.

''I am'',he replied in a calm smug tone.

''You're not from this city are you?If you were you'd know about us,where are you from?'',he asked me.

''I'm from a village in SouthHill'',I said finishing and covering up his bandaid.

''So you're here to work?'',he asked sounding sort of curious.

''And study'',I said, trying to keep my cool and not show him just how scared I was of him.

''I passed by the street of the shop you work at,you weren't inside'',he said.

''Oh um,I didn't work on night shift today, and I won't really work there again'',I said watching how his eyes seemed to never leave my face.

''Why not?'',he asked.

''I..well I got fired'',I said waiting for his next words.

''Did you look for another job?'',he asked and I wondered why he was asking me all these things.

''I did,at a bakery'',I replied taking a few steps away from him, indicating the fact that my job was done so he should leave. I hope for my safety that he'd understand what I was trying to show him,and leave.
