Megan Watson's POV

I had three different tests in my hands, ready to buy them, even though I knew there was no point in doing that anyway.

I knew I wasn't pregnant. I had just cried a little too hard - to the point where I got sick. I couldn't help but feel a small part of me, though, wonder if maybe I could be pregnant.

It was stupid, though, because Niall and I had used protection every time.

I didn't know what I felt, at that moment. I had never had to take a pregnancy test before, but I was almost entirely positive that I wasn't pregnant, that I didn't feel as nervous as I would if I believed I could very well be pregnant. The possibility, though, was sort of frightening.

I kept telling myself how stupid this was - I wasn't pregnant. Niall was just getting me worked up over nothing.

When a voice spoke Niall's name from behind us, he took his hands off my waist and turned around to see who had called him, and I looked too. When I saw who had spoke, it instantly hit me how pretty she was. As immature as it is, I was immediately jealous of the way she looked. She had long, wavy brown hair, and the most unusual, bright and magnificent shade of blue eyes I'd ever seen.

As a teenager, I used to want blue eyes so desperately, and I guess I still did at times, which only added to the jealousy I felt towards her. Her clothes were quite simple, just a black tank-top, denim shorts, and black converse.

It then hit me how shitty I must look compared to her. With my big, red, puffy eyes and knotty hair. Even if I hadn't have been crying, I would still look nothing compared to her. While her hair was perfectly done, her waves seeming to fall exactly right, my lighter brown hair was messed up and stupid looking. And her blue eyes were so bright, anyone could get lost in them - while I was stuck with my dull brown eyes.

Niall nodded his head and smiled, waving at her and then turning back to me, and so it struck me that she must've been just an old one direction fan, but then Niall seemed to realise something, and he turned back around.

"Wait, Sam?" He asked, seeming surprised.

"Yeah!" She let out a giggle, nodding her head. "I can't believe it's really you!"

"And you!" Niall exclaimed, laughing lightly. "Jesus, I haven't seen you in ages!"

Niall seemed to have completely forgotten about the situation right now, and if he did remember, he didn't seem to care anymore.

"Um, who's this?" I asked Niall, taking a few small steps towards the two.

"Oh!" Niall said, seeming to remember I was there too. "Meg, this is Sam, Sam, this is Meg."

"Nice to meet you, Megan," Sam said with a smile, but something about her I didn't like. She seemed a bit too perfect.

"You too, Samantha," I replied, returning her overly innocent smile.

She looked down at my hands and her eyes widened a small bit, and she looked back up to me and then to Niall.

"Oh! So you're Niall's, fiancé, is it?" She asked, her eyes staying on me, the smile no longer on her face.

"No, no, no!" I shook my head. "We're just dating! We're not getting married."

"So, you two are starting a family, then?" Sam asked.

As she said this, I couldn't help but think she was rude, and nosy. She had literally just came here and she thinks she can just fucking ask if - first, we're engaged, and second, if we wanted a baby. That's none of her business, who does she think she is?
