Austin stared on with worry. He was curled up, wrapped up in a blanket. He was staring out the window at the setting sun. The sky was nearly an inky, navy blue, but hints of orange and red still bled into the skyline.

He hadn't left the apartment in a few days. Austin heard all about the blow-out with his mother. They haven't spoken in days, but Charles called every night to check up on his son.

"Hey, baby," Austin rasped. He had just smoked a few outside. His love was so broken. "Do you want any food?"

Abel didn't move.

"I'll order you something just in case."

Nothing.

When the food arrived, Austin sat in bed behind the ball of unmoving Abel. As he ate his Thai honey beef, Abel's favourite pad see ew sat on the night stand, growing colder with every passing minute. Austin finished his meal and carried the empty box into the kitchen and tossed it. Abel's food was returned to its original box and joined the growing collection of meals in Abel's refrigerator.
