"Why do you like hanging around an empty park in the dead of night?"

She blinked at him. She hadn't even realized that he know she was there. Feeling a moment of bravery, she pressed her lips together in contempt.

"I could ask you the same thing."

"Fair enough."

After seeing him smoking last time, she felt that this would have been the perfect moment for him to take a drag and slowly exhale. Unlike last time though, he wasn't smoking, and as far as she could tell, he had no intentions to.

Hesitantly, she took a step towards him. Followed by another step, and another. Soon, she was sitting on the other side of the park bench from him.

It couldn't hurt to stay and find out if she was right.
