Chapter 28

Tarah POV

I arrived at Connie's and Guy's car was there

I knocked on the door and Guy anwsered

"Guy, is Connie home?"

He didn't say a word he just let me in

"Connie?"

She turned around and then turned back around

"I wanted to apologize for everything. Guy I wanted to ask if you would be Adam's best man, for me?"

"No way, not with his friends"

"Charlie is one"

He thought for a minute

"Fine, I'll do it"

I smiled and looked at Connie

"Connie, I want you to be a bridesmaid"

She started to smile and attacked me with a huge hug

"I am so sorry, I should of told you"

She let go

"I forgive you" she said with a smile

"Connie, I am having a baby boy and girl"

"TWINS!" She said screaming

"Calm down" I said laughing

"Congrats" said Guy

I smiled back at him

"Connie, I am wanting to go shopping but Adam can't know the gender because I am wanting to surprise him at one of his hockey games"

"Tarah, haven't you heard...Adam is playing for us now"

"What?"

"Yeah, today he had practice with us for the first time. They changed the district boundaries"

"But he has a game tonight"

They both rolled there eyes

"Coach went to Riley and the district about it and he either plays with us or the Hawks have to forfeit every game he plays"

"Oh, wow"

"How was everyone, after they were told about it"

"The team isn't happy about it but we will ajust. Can you still play?"

"Yeah, after I'm not pregnant"

They laughed

"So, Connie want to go shopping?"

She smiled and kissed Guy goodbye and we left

Our first stop was Babies R Us

"Look at this shirt"

She held up a shirt that said 'Mommy and Daddy play Hockey'

"We must get!"

Connie put it in the cart

We found a jersey that had 'Conway #96' on it

"I am so getting that for Bentley"

What's in our shopping cart

Shirt that says 'Daddy's little princess'

Shirt that says 'Mommy's handsome boy'

Bibs that have hockey players on it

Shirt that says 'I will play hockey'

Some pacifiers

Hawks jersey 'Banks #9'

Ducks jersey 'Mendoza #18'

Shirt that says 'Grandpa is the best'

Shirt that says 'My Aunt loves me'

Shirts that have hockey on it

Flower dresses

Ducks jersey 'Henderson #10'

We bought everything we needed and headed home

"Connie!"

"What's wrong" she said in a painic voice

"Adam's home..how are we going to get everything inside without him seeing"

"Um...you go in and talk to him about hockey and I will sneak the bags into the basement"

We got out and I headed inside

"Adam...I'm home"

I walked into the kitchen and he was waching some films from his hockey game

"Adam"

He turns around

"Hi"

"Everything okay?"

"No"

"What's wrong?"

"I go to show up for the hockey game and they said I couldn't play for them anymore becasue the disrtict lines have changed, so now I have to play for thee stupid Ducks"

Ouch, that hurt

"Adam, the Ducks aren't stupid, we are a really fun team, you'll love it"

He scoffed

"And once im not pregnant we'll be able to play together"

He started to smile

I looked out the window and Connie gave me a thumbs up and a call you later sign and drove off

"What did you do today?" He asked holding my hand

"I talked to Coach and he is now my lega gaurdian so he will walk me down the aisle"

"That's good"

"I talked to Connie and Guy, they aren't mad at me anymore, and Guy is you're fourth best man"

He rolled his eyes

"And then Connie and I went shopping for the babies"

He had a shocked look

"Babies?"
