Chapter 18

Tarah POV

As soon as we got home Adam was on the phone with his parents, I tried to listen to the conversation but he wouldn't let me listen so I sat and watched some tv

"Uh huh, okay, alright love you bye" he said hanging up

"My dad has plane tickets for use ready to leave tomorrow"

"Tomorrow? I have a game tomorrow"

"Tarah, you can't play with he/she in there"

"Doctor said I can till I get bigger"

"We are leaving tomorrow, take it or leave it"

I rolled my eyes

"Fine." I got my jacket and my keys and started to walk out the door

"Where are you going?"

"I need to go tell Coach, that I won't make it tomorrow"

"Alright, be careful"

"I'll be back in a half an hour"

He kissed my head and I walked to my car

I got out of my car and knocked on the door

"Tarah, come in"

I walked into his living room, and it was a pretty nice house

"What's up" he asked sitting on his couch

"I um just wanted to stop by and tell you that I can't make the game tomorrow"

"Tarah, you've never missed a game"

"I know, I am going on a little trip"

He looked at me confused

"Where"

"Um, Adam and I are traveling to New York to visit his parents"

"Adam Banks?"

He looked at me confused

"Um yeah, he's my boyfriend"

"Really, I thought you and CHarlie had a conection"

"Um no, I am no longer staying with Casey and Charlie"

"Then, where are you staying!?" he said with a loud tone

"I am staying with Adam"

"You are not going to New York without an adult"

"Coach, we are meeting his parents there"

"Tarah, I am you're legal gaurdian, You are not going!" he said yelling at me

"I AM 18 YEARS OLD, I CAN TAKE CARE OF MYSELF!"

He gets up and grabs some papers and rips them up. They were my adoption papers. I get up and head for the door

"Tarah, if you leave you are no longer a Duck"

I stop and thought for a moment, but I grabbed my keys and slammed the door behind me

I got in my car and bawled my eyes out, I can't believe he would treat me that way. I got home opened the door and Adam came running to me

"Tarah, what's wrong!?"
