Chapter 9

Tarah POV

We skated home and dinner was already done, we sat at the table and ate and I heard a buzz go off, it as my phone. I checked to see who it was and it was from Banks.

"Can you excuse me for a second"

I got up from the table and went into my room

(Phone conversation with Banks, T-Tarah B-Banks)

B- Hey, I am so sorry about what happened today

T- Hey, it's fine

B- Is Charlie still upset with you?

T- I think he is fine, he started to talk to me again

B- Oh, okay....

T- You okay?

B- Yeah, I'm good

T- Okay well I have to go, I'll ttyl

B- Okay, Bye

(End of conversation)

I out my phone on my bed and walked back out

"What was that all about" asked Charlie

"Oh, um it was my grandma...uh she uh wanted to see if I was doing okay"

"Oh okay" he said taking a drink

I continued to finish my dinner and the whole room was in silence

"Hey Charlie, are you ready to play the Hawks tomorrow?"

He didn't answer

"Fine ignore me, I tried to make things better but your not helping!"

I dropped my fork and walked outside

"What was that all about"

"Nothing mom, it's her month"

I put my dishes away and walked to my room
