A/N
There is one more chapter after this and then the epilogue. I have really enjoyed writing Red and I am thinking of doing another story, like a series of fairytale meets supernatural. Something like Sleeping Beauty and Vampires added together. Or Snow White meet Vampires. Or Cinderella meet ShapeShifters. Or Beauty and the Beast... With more werewolves!
Tell me if you like the ideas. They'll have slight links with Red and Seff.
Part 15: Safe
"I didn't mean to interrupt," he sighed, "it's just that the Villagers are after you and Seff... I know you can fight em off. But I think you just need to leave."
I looked at Seff who was already opening a cupboard and handing the smaller bags to me.
"I have another request," Alex whispered, Seff growled lowly.
"What is it?"
Alex blushed, "Take me with you... Please?" He begged. I relented.
He looked so scared and sad.
"Seff?" I whispered. He was frowning. He didn't want to agree, but he couldn't say no to me.
Seff grabbed me, his hands were tight around my waist as he lifted me several inches from the ground. He began to carry me, I was giggling as he headed to his bedroom...it looked so empty.
"Red... I was asking if you would marry me," he whispered, I was still being carried by him as if I weighed absolutely nothing. I smiled and hugged him tightly.
"Of course I'll marry you... But on one condition,"
Seff narrowed his eyes.
"You have to agree to help Alex, he's a victim in all this and now his life is in danger." I explained. Seff didn't seem to be listening, he just kissed me squarely on the lips. I gasped as sparks went through my whole body, my fingers were in his hair... His hair was so soft and silky, he smelled so nice. He felt so nice...
"Okay, I'll do whatever you want so long Alex doesn't get any smart ideas and-"
I cut him off.
"We better leave now!"
Seff and I ran to our living room, I could hear sounds of a riot... They actually were coming closer, I didn't feel scared, we could handle them but, we just needed to stay away from conflict.
"Come with us," Seff growled. "Don't even look at Red the wrong way or else you'll wish they got to you. Are we understood Alex?"
We were soon running. Alex was struggling to keep up, but he was running fast enough for a human.
"What happened to the girls who accompanied me by the way?" I asked.
"I sent them back, they are expecting us back by the way. We have places in the pack as some influential role," he told me. We looked back to see that Alex was struggling.
I stopped and so did Seff. We began to walk slowly, knowing that no one was chasing us any longer. Alex was walking with us, his heartbeat was frantic but he was getting better.
"Alex, you must understand what we are," Seff said, "We aren't humans."
Alex laughed, "I know that!" I was tempted to giggle.
"Where we are going no one is human, they're all WereWolves. You know humans who can change into wolves, but not wolves exclusively."
Alex had paled but was still with us.
"We want to know what your plans for the future are; we can't keep you with us too long. Don't you have your family to go back to?"
Alex shrugged, "When I had... Changed. I guess I got out of control and my mother disowned me. I'm on my own now."
Sympathy washed over me as I saw Alex look so defeated. I wanted to hug him and comfort him.
"We will figre it out," Seff promised. I watched as the pack house became clearer. The pack was impressive. You could see a large mansion in the middle surrounded by large houses. I could hear the laughter of children. This was a town in itself. I could see the agriculture, the shops,the banks, the schools.
"Wow," We all breathed, watching as a woman and a man, both tall and very strong looking. The woman was grinning and staring at the man who had his arms tightly around her.
"Hi," the woman said, she didn't sound as scary as she looked. Her voice was high and feminine.
"Hello," Seff said, "I'm Seff and this is Red... We have a, friend, with us."
The couple's eyes widened in recognition.
"Oh! Come on!"
Alex was looking everywhere in awe like a child.
Suddenly the Alpha female and male were running down the corridor towards us. They hugged us.
"You're okay!" Leia, the Alpha Female gushed.
"The girls told us you sent them here... That you had it all under control but you took days to come to us," Ryan, the Alpha Male rambled.
Seff and I smiled wordlessly.
"Well, we have everything set for you. We had the best of our pack build you a house," they explained, "And our daughter will soon come and help you get all set to pack life."
They hugged us again.
"We will see you for dinner," they hadn't ever glanced at Alex.
"Wait!" Leia shouted.
"Who is he?"
Alex looked quite sheepish and I couldn't help myself as I laughed.
"He is one of the victims of the NewBorn, he was changed. Now his life is in danger. Can he stay here for a while?" I asked, I was holding onto the Seff as they seemed to be thinking about it.
"You do know, being changed my a NewBorn and then changing back, means he becomes a Shifter?"
Seff nodded- he knew!
Leia and Ryan sighed.
"He can stay, but he won't be a part of the pack until he proves his loyalty."
The couple left with those words.
Alex looked worried.
"I can never go home," he ranted, "I can never find a girl... I can never marry, or have a normal life with kids and a house! No one wants me," a few tears were falling down his face. Even Seff looked sad for him.
"My mum... What about my mother?!" He cried. I hugged him comfortingly only to hear a low growl. But the funny thing was that it wasn't Seff.
I looked up. I could see a girl with uncanny resemblance to the Alphas standing close by.
She walked towards us.
She was beautiful, absolutely stunning.
She had long straight dark hair, a mahogany complexion and a perfect and thin figure. Alex was absolutely gobsmacked. The girl's bright amber eyes zeroed Alex in as she walked towards him slowly. Her slight curves were highlighted by the long white dress she was wearing.
She looked like an angel.
"Hi," she said, she was only talking to Alex. Her smile was infectious. She looked so happy.
"I'm Angel," she said, introducing herself. "And I'm your mate."
