Part 13: Game Over

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I didn't ask any questions. I didn't feel the need to. I just stared at the dark eyes of the creature in front of me.

It was eight feet tall, with four legs... It wasn't a WereWolf.

It had black and red scales all over it's body. It looked like a lizard. But it definitely wasn't a lizard. It wasn't a dragon either. It was fierce and malicious looking. I was petrified. But I didn't show it.

I was way too tired to take this any longer.

"Red..." The beast said. It's mouth wasn't moving but I could hear it as clear as day.

"Come with me," it slurred, I felt so disgusted. I was bored. Why was it still here? Why was it still after me?

"All I'm doing is slaying you!" I roared, I didn't know how we could communicate, but I wasn't ready to waste time with trivial thoughts. I didn't need this.

Without any further ado, I charged at the Beast. I was roaring; much like a soldier in war. I didn't care if I got hurt, all that mattered was if the Beast got hurt in the process.

I winced as the Beast simply pushed me away, its claws digging into my side.

I looked down only to see myself bleeding. The Beast was grinning... Or at least I thought it was.

"It hurts me to hurt you," it told me. I grew enraged. I pounced on the Beast's back.

It threw me off as if I was a rag doll. I stood up quickly and shook it off. It hurt but I didn't dare show my agony.

"Then why are you here?" I questioned, "You have ruined everything!" I cried.

Tears were covering my face, but I was wiping them away furiously. I wouldn't let this ruin my vision of the Beast. I was going to kill it... Whether it killed me or not.

"Try harder," the Beast taunted. I nodded, I couldn't just lunge at this animal. I had to be slow, tactical and I had to stay enraged. My anger was acting as a barrier. I couldn't feel pain when I was angry.

Slowly, I lifted my leg, the Beast was watching me. I pulled the knife out of my boot, my grip was tight.

I saw uneasiness slip through the Beast's eyes. I was onto something. I moved towards the Beast, ready to stab, when a new idea came to mind. The only way I could conquer this monster was to use my powers... Whatever they were. This was my advantage... The Element of Surprise.

I dropped the knife.

It looked at me with the most confused expression. Don't worry, I was confused as well.

I stood there, circling the Beast, my fists were clenched, my eyes were wary... Ready to fight.

"Come at me!" It roared. I paused.

"Who are you?" I asked, "You are familiar."

The Beast looked away, without even considering it: I took this chance to lunge.

I moved as quick as a flash, I had never moved this fast before... It wouldn't know what was hitting it.

I grabbed my knife with me and stabbed it in the back. I was grinning; until the Beast looked at me. I could see the wound healing. The knife fell to the floor.

"Good try."

I felt frustrated, and downright tired.

"How can this end?" I asked, I sounded tired and dejected. All I wanted was peace, I wanted Seff and to be safe.
