I froze myself in place

There was a gun pointing at me

At Mark

At Evan and my parents

"Step away from the table and get in front of me." Donna said, her voice shook with anger and despair. "Now!" She shout and shot up in the air to let us know that she was serious. My mother screamed and held on tightly onto my fathers arm.

Mark held me to his side, tight, as I saw from the corner of my eye he pressing a button under the table. Thats when I knew that he called Security.

Once in front of her, I got a good of her even though she was all dessed up in red; her hair lost its luster, she looked like she lost alot of weight, she had bags under her eyes. She was the shell of the woman she was before and I couldn't help but feel sorry for her, but for some reason I couldn't help but wonder; why was she attacking us? I thought she and Evan were together?

I looked to my right as Evan was looking at Donna with anger. Did she betray him? I thought, did she do something? Or was he mad that she was here? I turned towards her as I she looked at all of us and not at Evan.

"I never thought I'd get chance to do this. After months and months of planning and preparing, I never thought I was going to pull it off, but now here I am; and I am going to enjoy every moment of it." Then she point her gun and gaze at Evan, "And you are going to regret the you betrayed me." She smiled crazily at him. "We were the perfect couple Evan- I mean we are the perfect couple." I felt Mark tightened his hold on me as he sense something. Then her gaze turned towards me. "And you, you ruined everything! Evan and I planned everything and worked so hard for it to go all to hell because he fell for you! All because of your charm, well I got news for you; you are going to be the first on my list!" She confidently said to me with a proud look on her face. Evan stood in front of me as Mark pulled me behind him and then stood next to Evan as if they were my shield.

"You are not laying a hand on her" Evan and Mark said together. They both looked at each other as Donna laughed.

"See, what did I tell you! You should not exist, look at what you do to men; it is not right and you know it." She then turned her heads at my parents, "I mean your parents wouldn't care if I killed you. I mean if your own father had the guts to say that he hates his only daughter and wouldn't mind if she ended up dead, then he is fine with it. I mean his wish is coming true, right?" My hands held onto the back of Mark's suit jacket tightly as I try to breathe correctly. Then I heard my father speak for the first time.

"When did you hear me say that?" Donna smiled at him and giggled.

"I over heard you in your office with you wife as she at the same time said she wished that she had sold Rose to that old neighbor next door that you guys had. You know; the one couldn't have kids. She also said she could have gotten a nice profit from the sell." Donna laughed out loud as the pain hit my heart and I fell to the ground. I couldn't believe that my own parents hated me that much.

I had high hopes that one day, ever since I was little, they would look at me with such love like the other kids parents did when I was in school. All the girls in my class always said all kinds of things that their parents would do for them that when it came down to me, I would laugh, then lie through my teeth.

As time pass, I was in 5th or 6th grade, the school decided that they would throw a Father-Daughter dance and invited all the father's, but my father never came. Instead I received a letter from him saying that he was 'sorry' but something 'came up' that needed his attention. He also said that he would make it up to me. I went to my dorm room where we had a landline phone that the school provided us to call home. I called the staff's number since it is separate from the main one that my parents used. Lola, my 37 year old nanny at the time, answered.
