ALDEN's POV
"Hello? Hello Dad?"
"Nak, naospital si Lolo mo. Nasan ka?"
"Uh, sa condo po, itext niyo po ko kung sang hospital. Punta po ko jan."
"Okay, Nak. Andito si Ten. Ingat ka."
I hung up and I'm shocked. Ano kaya nangyari?
Kasama ko si Maine tonight, and it pains me to leave her while she's asleep but I have to. I grabbed a pen and paper and wrote her a note:
Maine,
I have to go. Sinugod si Lolo sa hospital. Sorry to leave you like this. I hope you understand. See you soon. I love you!

I gathered my things, got my keys and left my condo. I said a little prayer in the car and left. I get to the hospital and met my Dad and Mama Ten.
"Dad, how's Lolo?"
"Okay na daw siya Nak sabi ng Doctor. Tumaas lang ng konti ang Bp. Kelangan lang daw niya magpahinga, pwede na siya umuwi bukas."
I breathed a sigh of relief. Thank you Lord.
"Buti naman po. Salamat talaga sa Diyos."

We spent the night in the hospital and I was jolted awake by my phone vibrating. It was a text from Maine.
From Maine:
Good morning Rj. Got your note. It's okay, be there with your family. They need you. Will pray for your Lolo. I love you. See you soon.
I smiled. What did I do to deserve this girl? She's always understanding. She never demands anything of me. Salamat, Meng.
Pero sana hindi siya mapagod sa akin. Palagi niyang sinasabing marami akong nasakripisyo para sa kanya pero di niya alam, ang dami niya ring sacrifices for me. The mere fact that she understands how much my job is important to me and that she's the one who adjust, is the perfect example. Di rin nakikita ng tao kung gaano kalaki ang effort niya sa relationship namin. To think about it, ako halos parang material yung effort ko for her, pero siya, yung pag-aalaga niya sakin at yung pagpunta niya sa condo just to be with me, yun ang tunay na effort. Kaya pala minahal ko siya ng ganito.
Sana nga tumigil na ang oras at ang mundo pag magkasama kami. I just want to hold her and touch her, and spend every waking moment with the girl of my dreams.
Ugh, mukha kong sira dito. I'm just staring at the wall, imagining my girl. Hahaha.
Anyway, we got the doctor's note that we could take my Lolo home. And so we did.
I had to go to another photo and tvc shoot this morning, and my schedule is really hectic. But I have to honor my commitments. Nahihiya na nga ko sa EB eh. Sila na nagaadjust pag wala ako sa KS. At syempre, kay Meng. Pero effortless naman niyang nadadala ang KS.
I was hoping makakahabol pa ko sa EB after my shoot. Kasi sabi nila, by 1pm, tapos na. But we had a late start, so late na din matatapos. 1:30 pm na nasa kalagitnaan palang kami. I better text my girl.
To Maine:
Hi love, sorry di na ko makakahabol sa EB today. Di pa tapos yung shoot namin. And may shoot ulit ako later sabi ni Mama Ten. Sorry talaga. I'll make it up to you, I promise. I love you.
Then, a minute later, I received a reply.
From Maine:
No worries Rj. I understand. Just take your meds ok? And eat well. Wag papagutom. Remember hindi ka superhuman. I miss you, shokoy. I love you too.

I finished the shoot around 3 pm and got ready to go to the other one. To be honest, pagod na ako. Pero no choice eh. Kailangan ko tong panindigan.
I arrived at the shoot and was surprised by who I saw there. It was Maine.
Kasama ko pala siya sa shoot today. Akala ko ako lang muna ngayon, like the usual. Hindi naman kasi kami lagi nagsshoot magkasama.
She's getting ready, nakaupo sa make-up chair. Ganda talaga ng girlfriend ko. I was also being fixed up 10 feet away from her, and hindi ako makaiwas tumingin. Miss na miss ko na kasi talaga siya kahit nagkikita kami. Saka miss ko na rin kasama siya sa KS, buti nalang bukas andun na ako.
To not risk anyone knowing about our relationship, ingat kaming maging sweet sa isa't-isa pag magkasama sa shoot. Pero I couldn't help myself, kaya sa text ko nalang idadaan.
To Maine:
Hi Miss. Ganda mo naman. Pwede ba kitang ligawan?
From Maine:
Hi. Wrong number ka kuya. Mister kaya ito.
Lol jk, Rj. Cheesy mo!
To Maine:
Haha miss lang kita. Ikaw talaga di mo sinabing magkasama pala tayo sa shoot today.
From Maine:
Ganoin talaga. Para surprise noh. Gulat ka di ba?
To Maine:
Oo naman. Hahaha. Oo nga pala balita ko sasali ka sa beauty contest?
From Maine:
Well, ofcourse. Pang beauty queen kaya to.
Then a picture of her with her signature 'nginig smile' was attached to the message. I grinned, widely.
To Maine:
Ganda oh. Miss universe ng buhay ko! 😍
From Maine:
Eww Rj! Corny mo!
To Maine:
Corny pero love mo? ❤️
From Maine:
Yes but, do you want me to change my mind? 😏
To Maine:
Sorry na! Hahaha namiss ko to. Namiss kita. 😚
From Maine:
Chos.
To Maine:
Hatid kita mamaya ha. Tapos, pa-kiss 😚
From Maine:
Aba, nakakarami ka na ha! 😅
To Maine:
Bakit, bawal bang i-kiss ko girlfriend ko?

Erm.. 😌
To Maine:
