ALDEN's POV

"Uwi ka na Meng, please. I miss you so much, Babe."

It was only 3 days after Maine left for Japan with her family and I'm experiencing major sepanx. I miss her so much and I wanted her to know that. I'm glad I was able to send her off though.

Nakabakasyon na rin ako, finally. After months of hectic schedules, I'm able to put my feet up, relax and hibernate. Bagsak ang katawan ko. Pero, it's all worth it. What happened with my career, my life and with me and Maine these last 5 months were indescribably magical. And I'm incredibly grateful.

Thank you, Lord.

My father arranged an out of town trip for our family as well. I had a great time. It was nice to spend time with family, which I haven't done in such a long time. We spend Christmas at home, with delicious home cooked meals. Nothing too grand, we're simple like that.

But, I miss Maine already.

"Face time?"

"Sure, I'm here sa hotel. We just got back, I'm so tired but I miss you, Rj."

We ended the voice call and talked through face time instead. It was nice to see her, not just in her pictures online.

"Hi Rj. How are you?"

She said, smiling. Goodness, she's so beautiful even with no make up and in pajamas.

"I'm good. Pero, I miss you, sobra. Uwi ka na please."

"I miss you too, but I can't pa. But I promise you something.."

"Ano yun?"

"I'll be there on your birthday, promise!"

"Promise mo yan ha. Wala na akong gustong gift. Ikaw lang okay na, with a big red ribbon on top."

"Sure, hahanap ako ng pitsel na magkakasya ako, tapos papalagay ako ng ribbon sa ibabaw. Hahahaha."

It's so good to hear her laugh.

"I-expect ko yan ha. I love you, Meng."

"I love you too, Rj."

"Wait lang, have you told your parents about us already?"

"Uhhh, not yet. So far, si Coleen pa lang and Ate Niki and nakakaalam."

"Nako, patay tayo jan. So, um, do you want us to tell them together pagbalik niyo?"

"Sige. Uhm, Rj, can I ask for a favor?"

"Sure. Anything."

"Can we please keep 'us' on the down low muna? I mean, wag muna natin ipaalam sa public."

"Sige. But may I ask, why?"

"Alam mo naman Rj. Aware ka naman sa magiging reaction nila. Ayoko muna sana ma-bash, lalo na New Year. Saka syempre, privacy. Gusto ko munang ma-solo ka. Yung wala pa masyadong involved. Tayong dalawa lang muna, and syempre yung family natin, ang nakakaalam muna."

"Sige, Maine. I understand. But, let's tell your mom and dad first."

"Sige."

"Ganda ng photos mo, love ha. Model na model. Pero ikaw ang supermodel ko. Sa akin lang ha?"

"Asa. Ang daming gwapo dito noh. Dami ko na ngang na-meet eh."

"Aba, Meng. Wag ganun. Ang kay Rj ay kay Rj lang. At si Meng ay kay Rj lang, okay?"

"Ayaw..."

She said, with puppy dog eyes.

"Akala mo ba di ko nakikita yung pictures mo with your guy fans? Lapitin ka talaga ng lalaki. Ang ganda mo kasi. Ang ganda talaga ng girlfriend ko."

I emphasized on the word 'girlfriend'.

She blushed.

"Eeeeh, stop it. You're making me blush Rj. Sige na nga, I'm yours lang."

"Good. Nagkakaintindihan tayo."

"Miss ko na ang weather jan. Ang lamig dito!"

"I wish I was there to embrace you para di ka na malamigan."

"Wow ha, even sa face time, galawang breezy."

"Syempre naman. Iba to noh."

"Pero I love it here, Rj. Everything's beautiful, even the busy streets and the huge crowds. Sana makabalik ako."

"Kasama ako, gusto mo?"

"I'd love that. Dream ko rin yun eh, to travel with my love. Ayeee, kilig siya."

I felt my dimples deepen.

"Ikaw kasi eh. Haha. So...."

And our conversation went on and on for what feels like 5 hours. Good thing, she shared a room with Coleen. Kaya lang na-annoy na ata namin siya. Hahaha. But good thing, she understands.

Pero, miss na miss ko na talaga siya.
