Ashlyn's POV

Last night was nice with Harry. We both deserved it. He was so sweet as I fell asleep. He kept leaving random soft kisses all over my face as he whispered sweet things to me. I've never been with someone as sweet as him. I know he can be an asshole. I'm happy he's not like that towards me anymore.

I woke up and noticed that our room was dark. I'm fine with it. I really don't want to get up. I'm sure it's just dark because we have the curtains closed. I looked over at the clock and saw that it was already after 10. I know I really need to get up. I just don't want to go see my mom. I know she's mad at me. This is all going to basically be an investigation. I know she's not going to approve of my life now. I don't care. I'm doing what makes me happy. I love living this average life with Harry. I don't care about money like she does. If I did I would still be putting up with Adam's shit.

I looked up at Harry. He was still asleep. He looks so peaceful. I really don't want to wake him up. I'll just let him sleep. He deserves it after last night. I'm not exactly sure of what all happened during the fight last night. I'm sure it all made him tired. I carefully moved out of bed so I didn't wake him up. I walked over to our closet, finding some decent clothes. I would hear crap from my mom if I didn't. She always puts me down no matter what. I'm not going to torture Harry with that. Especially today. I quickly got ready. I know I'm running late. I don't care though.

I finished getting ready before moving over to our bed. He still looks so peaceful. I know he'll wake up worried if he finds that I'm not here. I lent down, softly pressing my lips against his. It didn't take long for me to feel him smile before they started to move in sync with mine. He moved his hand up, cupping my cheek in it. I smiled before pulled away, "I really need to go."

He started to frown, "Already?"

I nodded, "I'll be back soon. I shouldn't be long. It won't take long my mom and I to start arguing."

He chuckled, softly pecking my lips, "Have fun."

I rolled my eyes, "I love you."

He smiled, "I love you."

I softly pecking his lips, "I'll see you later."

I noticed him lay back on the pillows as I got up to leave. I feel bad about leaving. I know I need to deal with my mom though. This could be the last time I see her anyway. She's not happy with me as it is.

I walked out to my car before driving towards where she wanted to meet. I haven't been there in so long. Well that's mainly because that's where Adam loved to go. I didn't really like it. It was so expensive. I've never really like places like that.

As I pulled into the parking lot I noticed my mom's car already sitting there. I know I'm running late. I'll probably hear about it like everything else. If that's all she does I'll just leave. I'm not going to deal with it. I'm actually happy now. She's not going to care about that. I sighed before walking inside. I found her sitting at a table by herself, away from everyone. I'm sure this means she's just going to tell me exactly how she feels about it all. She looked at up at me. I can tell she's upset with me. I shook my head, sitting down. She mumbled, "I ordered what you usually get here."

"Okay."

I'm really not surprised by that either. That's something she's always done if I was late. I sat my phone down, "I'm surprised you came here."

"Well I thought I would when Adam called me after you had him sent to jail."

I laughed a little bit, "You were his one phone call?"

"I was. He's still in there."

"That's exactly where he needs to be."

She shook her head, "Ashlyn, you and Adam were perfect together. I'm sure things can go back to how they were if you just drop the charges."
