my head into the hard bed.  ‘Hey, what the hell; let me go monkey’!

Steve only pushed harder on my head, half gripping my neck; I will admit what he’d done was pretty clever as with his vice like grip I couldn’t escape.  ‘She’s all yours Doctor, just try not to get bitten’.

Lying there ready to go at Steve when he let go, soon enough the bright light of a torch was shone in my eyes, ‘look Goldfish, I suggest if you want to get out of this easy, you top shining that bloody thing in my eyes’!

The doctor seemed to sigh, now putting the torch down and reaching away to grab what looked like a bandage.  Coming back he was soon dabbing at my forehead with cotton, I thought for sure whatever he was using was on fire because of the pain.

‘Ooow, do you mind Goldfish; that frigging hurts’!

My squirming was useless as Steve still held me still; making me confused as to how this was happening.

‘Do you happen to have any painkillers Doctor?  I would really love to shove a few too many down her throat’, the doctor chuckled at Steve’s comment; looking like he was almost considering it.

‘We better not Steve, the boss will want a full physical done on her soon and would not be happy if her liver chucked it in because we overdosed her again’.

Wait what, a full medical; if Mrs Kingsmen thought I was cooperating with that, she had another thing coming.

My forehead was soon bandaged, with me eager to be released from Steve’s grip.  ‘Anytime now Steve, I have people to beat up and places to be’.

I soon could see a glint of Steve’s features leaning over me, ‘are you going to be quiet and do as you are told or am I to expect a fight from you’?

Spitting through my teeth, I knew the answer to that question and I was sure as hell going to show Steve who was boss.  ‘Remember when I first come here and kicked your butt Steve, yeah well expect it again’.

Steve soon let go of me, despite what I had expected.  Hearing him take a step back, I was soon on my feet on this cement like bed; seeing him ready.

‘What, you really want to fight Steve’?

Seeing my hesitation, Steve soon took a step forward grabbing my legs in one swift motion, making me fall behind him only to be caught hanging from his back.  Before I could regain my balance, I soon felt my legs been pulled backwards, as my waist was soon balanced on Steve’s shoulder.

‘Looks like I’m the victor girl; suck it up and deal with it’.

I could hear someone chuckling in front of Steve; guessing it was Doctor Goldfish, I was quick to give him a piece of my mind.

‘You want to be next Goldfish; I got plenty of punches left’?

The doctor never came into view, considering all I could see was the now shining tiled floor, ‘get better spitfire, I’ll see you in a couple of days for your physical examination’.

His footsteps now sounded in the distant as I felt Steve now moving most likely towards the door to leave.  I hadn’t heard anything from or seen of Hunter since arriving and I was proved right as we left without another set of footsteps following behind.

‘Where’s Hunter’?

Steve took a moment to respond, obviously something was going on that I didn’t know about; ‘he’s back at your room, he doesn’t enjoy been in the hospital wing for longer than necessary’.

As if it wasn’t the most obvious question out, Steve and I actually engaged in a real conversation for once, ‘why doesn’t he like been here’?
