ARABELLA CASPER

I  sat on the closed lid of the toilet, my head in my hands, and tears streaking down my face.  Harry had told me, multiple times that all this was is a plan. That soon this plan would be finished and I would have no purpose for him. Things have changed, I understand Harry had been vain when these plans had been put in, and he never expected that the girl he kidnapped would end up being his girlfriend.

Peace is good thing, and I should be fortunate that the plan was something as easy as that, but it still hurts just as much. Knowing that you were once looked at as a mere object of someone else's, hurts no matter what and I have a feeling that although I know Harry doesn't think that way anymore, it will still forever haunt me. I heard footsteps from outside of the door making me quickly wipe the tears from my eyes.

The door swung open and there Harry stood, wide-eyed and frantic. Once his eyes rested on my body, his shoulders slumped in relief but immediately walked over to me.

"Arabella, you need to listen to me" he said standing in front of me and looking down.

"You can't change the past Harry" I said making him bit his lip.

"I know that, but I need you to understand that I don't think that way anymore" he said quietly.

"It still hurts" I said making him sigh and kneel down in front of me.

"Listen, I know what I did was wrong, I completely understand that. But, you can't hold me guilty for that anymore. I apologized, I understand my actions, I'm willing to do anything to make up for it, but you can't keep this grudge over me" he said, placing his hands on the top of my thighs.

"I hate the fact that you once looked at me like that" I said quietly, sniffling a bit at the end.

"I do too, everything seemed like a blur then. Nothing made sense" he said.

"I still don't understand" I said, shaking my head.

"Don't understand what, baby?" he asked.

"Why did you want peace with Ferocious so badly if the grudge was too big to bypass?" I asked.

"Ferocious wants power. That's it, they want to rule over all land and places and they definitely have enough attention to do so. North America is one of the most powerful continents of them all, Europe although it is the smallest, has the largest gang in the world. If we could get them on our side, we could easily take over all lands. The other gangs already knew this was going to happen. That's why Africa had wanted peace, Australia was trying as well" he said.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because, more likely than not, if we could take over American and Europe completely then there is nothing stopping us from invading other parts of the world as well. It's a ticking time bomb" he said.

"But I thought you all basically controlled your continent" I said.

"We do, we control the people. We terrify them in ways that government cannot. But that in no way means we control the government. It's a stepping stone, everyone knows its coming and now it's time to just wait. The government is stubborn and has smart tactics but, you cant put that against the numbers" he said. "If Savage and Ferocious join, we would have over a million men on our side"

"But that grudge is way too big.  Your men killed my father, James Casper, he was the leader of this gang. Half of the men in Ferocious now, were raised by my father.  You can't possibly think that they'll just flip the switch and be at peace" I said.
