This is for those of you that need it. I'm only doing the super important characters that you may need to catch up on.
Derek - (main character) Is one of Jess's love interests. He's the best friend of Chad and Brant. He has strong feelings for Jess, but he kind of cheated on him so now he's trying to fix it.
Jess- (main character) His real name is Justin. He's new to New York since his dad got a job offer. His parents are divorcing, he's heartbroken over his recent ending with Derek, and now he's trying to figure out himself and his feelings for Chad.
Chad - (side character) He's the best friend of Derek and Brant. He has some feelings for Jess, and he's going through a rough patch with Derek.
Brant- (side character) He's basically everyone's friend that gets caught up in everything. You guys don't know too much about him, but he's important.
