Aiden and Ben walked home, feeling happy about how the day had gone. It was really nice, how the day had ended. Ben was felt giddy, and Aiden smiled at the look on his face. He looked like a Rottweiler who just got a new toy.
"Good day eh Big B?" Aiden said, jokingly jabbing Ben in the side. Ben smiled and nodded.
Aiden smiled back, happy. He had gotten to spend time with his crush—and hopefully one day maybe her number? Who knows. If he kept pushing, maybe he would.
As they walked inside their big ass house, their phones binged. Aiden flipped on the couch and pulled out his phone.
"Probably the group chat." Aiden said. He was wrong, it was his family's group chat.
Aiden cringed. Ah jeez what did they have to say? Aiden didn't hate his parents buuuuuuuuuuuuuut they..well....were kinda snobby. And hard for him to get along with. They loved him, but they didn't really love him. At least, it didn't feel like that. Aiden loved his parents—but they really really got on their nerves.
Ben, noticing his discomfort, sat on the couch next to him. He put a hand on Aiden's knee, checking the group chat as well.
