ELOWEN

She chuckles, "Do you like to read?". Ramon looks in front of him, still with that odd mask on his face. Why does he wear that all the time?

"Yes, I do actually." That answer surprises her; she doesn't expect the hooded monster to like reading. She feels very curious about him; there just is something about him that makes her want to get to know him. It is some kind of attraction. Well, not that kind of attraction, of course, or is it? She shakes her head a bit to clear the thought away. "What genres do you like then? I personally love fantasy, adventure, history, and myths. A bit of romance throughout is a bonus." She laughs a bit.

"I quite like the same genres as you do, but romance isn't my cup of tea. I also like some horror and non-fiction." Elowen is amazed by the way he can easily talk about books. It is weird to her that this guy can actually do normal things and have normal conversations. She has heard so many bad things about him; this is probably the reason why this feels so odd. He doesn't seem the weird, dangerous guy they describe. She feels pretty proud of herself that she didn't, in fact, just listen and talk with him. He must have been so lonely, and she knows loneliness very well. "I hate horror; it's way too scary for me," she says, a shiver goes down her spine thinking about that horror book she once tried. Ramon laughs at that.

"Don't mock me." she frowns with a smile.

"I'm not mocking you, I'm just laughing." Ramon laughs again. Elowen gets up and walks to her saddlebag. She feels Ramon's eyes following her. She takes her favorite book from the bag and gives it to him. "I love this one; you should try it." She smiles at him. He looks up at her and takes the book. "Well, thank you, I'm pretty curious about it now." Ramon smiles. He looks at the book and puts it away. "I should probably go home; I still have some work to do." She smiles, then proceeds to get on Athena. "I'll accompany you for a part of the walk. I need to get somewhere; it's on the way." Ramon says, while getting on Hades.

They walk together through the forest. It is pleasant; they talk about books mostly. Ramon actually seems like a nice normal guy. Maybe he is just misunderstood. They are almost at the main road when Ramon stops. "It is nice talking to you Elowen." he says, already turning Hades left. "I had a good time too, thank you. I'll see you later Ramon." Elowen smiles at him. Ramon smiles shortly and walks away. He seems to be going towards the mountain. Elowen wonders what he is going to do; well, it is none of her business. She continues her walk home quietly. She wonders many things during that walk. Why does Ramon hide his face constantly? Why does everyone speak so bad about him while he seems so nice? What is he going to do in the mountains? Why is he so secretive about so many things? Elowen sighs, knowing she probably will never know the answers to all those questions. When she gets home, she takes Athena off. She proceeds to go inside and do some house chores. The house definitely needs some cleaning. After a while, she is done; it is still early but she is tired. She has some nights where sleeping isn't very "resting"; she has the nightmares to thank for that. Those nightmares are odd; she has never seen anything that comes across her nightmares. How can she dream about it then? It has just always been that way so she got used to it. Feeling confident that she will sleep well this night, she decides to get to bed. It has been only 2 nights since her last nightmare, so she'll be fine.

-an hour later-

Elowen feels foolish for believing that she would sleep well for once. This nightmare is more vivid than the ones she has had before. She has woken up startled and lost; it isn't a fun experience. When she looks out of the window, she sees that the sun is just starting to set. Great, it's still early; this means that she could go for a swim. A bit of distraction would certainly help her. Elowen takes her towel and runs outside to the waterfalls near her house. There is 1 waterfall in the forest and 2 near her house. The one in the forest is beautiful with lots of greenery. The 2 near her house are running in the river; it's pretty cool to look at those 2 running together. Elowen throws her towel down on the riverside. It is a beautiful evening; the sun is setting in a clear sky. This isn't the thing Elowen is staring at, though. A boy is swimming, in the part of the river that is larger in front of the waterfalls. His body is a bit tanned, a tattoo of a sun is on his shoulder and a weird circle with relics is tattooed on his back. He is standing with his back to Elowen, clearly unaware of her presence. She can't help but stare at him. Those muscles in his back flexing while he is stretching his arms certainly don't help. Elowen then notices a black stallion watching her nearby. As she looks at the horse, she realizes she knows that brown half-long hair. She is staring at Ramon; this is a whole new level of awkward. Hades, she has discovered that was the horse's name, whinnied. Ramon tenses a bit but doesn't turn towards her. He doesn't have his mask on, she realizes. Even though she is curious, she turns around. "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to spy on you. I just came for a swim because I couldn't sleep. If I knew you would be here I wouldn't have done that I swear. I'm so sorry but I've turned my back now, you can put your mask on. I haven't seen anything." Elowen feels so stupid and ashamed for her staring. Suddenly, she hears a loud laugh coming from behind her. She turns slowly around to see Ramon practically howling with laughter. He is wearing his mask again; Hades must have thrown it or something. She knows that he will be wearing it again, but why does she feel so disappointed? Ramon is still laughing like crazy. Elowen can't help but laugh a bit herself. While laughing, she looks at him a bit amazed. His chest is equally as tanned and very muscular. She can see his muscles shifting as he brushes his hair back with his hand. Elowen can't deny that this man is indeed very attractive. He is off-limits, though, too dangerous. She knows nothing about him, so she just shoves everything she is thinking or feeling aside. He seems to have so many secrets and then that odd mask. Why does she even keep talking to that guy if he doesn't even show his face? Maybe she really is a useless, wrong weirdo like her mother used to call her. Her laughing falters
