I was busy scrolling through my newsfeed when I saw something intriguing.

A post from Arther. We're actually mutuals on instagram kaya karamihan sa mga post niya ay nakikita ko sa tuwing magbubukas ako ng account. I just can't remember how we ended up following each other.

Ang alam ko lang ay hindi ako nagfa-follow ng kung sino-sino so I'm guessing, he followed me first and I followed him back. Ganoon naman lagi ang nangyayari.

I don't even add my relatives on facebook. I don't do first moves, unless necessary.

Mabilis kong pinindot ang mga larawan matapos makitang naka-tag si Kejadian at ang caption nito.

"I think today should be a national holiday because it's your birthday, and it's a big deal. LOL 😀 Happiest birthday to you, my best doormmate."

My eyes widened. It was posted yesterday!

Kaya ba nagpupumilit siya kagabi na bayaran ang pamasahe ko? He also said thank you. Maybe he's thankful because I spend time with him during his birthday, or I am just being delusional? Whatever the case, I still messed up his special day!

There are six pictures uploaded. Lahat ng 'yon ay picture nilang dalawa ni Arther na magkasama. Most of it was taken at the library. Karamihan din sa mga 'yon ay nakasuot ng uniporme si Kejadian. Hindi siya nakabusangot ngunit hindi rin siya nakangiti sa mga larawan. Nevertheless, he still look good. Mukha siyang isang modelo na walang interes sa proyekto.

Umani ng halos 9K ang post ni Arther. No doubts since he's pretty famous, inside and outside the campus.

I checked the comment section. Madaming bumati kay Kejadian na mga tiga school namin, pero ni isang reply mula sakaniya ay wala akong nakita. Naka-react lamang siya sa post.

Nag-alangan ako kung babatiin ko pa ba siya kahit late na o huwag na.

Ngunit tuwing maaalala ko ang pagtangging ginawa ko kagabi ay tila nakokonsensya ako kahit sa tingin ko'y wala naman akong maling ginawa.

Ilang minuto akong taimtim na nag-isip bago napagpasyahang gawin ang nararapat.

Muli kong binuksan ang cellphone at tiningnan kung online ba si Kejadian. I frowned. Marahil ay naka-off ang active status niya dahil hindi ko makita kung open ba siya o hindi.

"Bahala na nga si Batman," bulong ko sa sarili bago pinindot ang conversation namin.

Hindi naman siguro mawawala ang dignidad ko kung babatiin ko siya gayong tapos na ang kaarawan niya. Just to make up for what I did last night.

"Hi. I just found out that yesterday's your birthday. I'm sorry kung ngayon lang kita babatiin. I really had no idea since you did not mention it either. But still, better late than never so, belated Happy birthday!"

"What do you want in return for declining your offer, last night?"

"How about treating you a lunch? Anything you want."

Nang mai-send lahat ng mensahe ay nakagat ko ang ibabang labi. Am I exposing myself, too much? Parang masyado na yatang feeling close ang dating ng mga message ko.

Balak ko pa lang sanang i-delete ang huling dalawang sinend ko kaso na-seen niya na 'yon, and he's now typing a message! What a shame.

Kejadian Rimanov:
Hey. Thanks for the warm greetings. Sorry if hindi ko nabanggit sa 'yo kagabi. I just don't feel like telling it.

Kejadian Rimanov:
It's not that important, though. It'll just pass like a normal day.

I was taken aback. Hindi ba siya nag-cecelebrate ng birthday niya? Dahil ba sa mag-isa lang siya?

Kejadian Rimanov:
There's no need for that, Ianthe. Do not even think of wasting your money.

Louella Ianthe Xelouvilla:
What are you talking about? Treating someone during their birthday will never be a waste of money.

Kejadian Rimanov:
But it's not my birthday anymore.

Louella Ianthe Xelouvilla:
As if I care. Just think of it as my way of saying thank you, okay? Now, you set a date and I'll make time for that day.
