Chapter 40

Omer went up to his wife and gave her Ece. She took her in her arms. Ali got on the bed and lay down next to them. He smiled and kissed his sister on the head. Everyone was moved by the sight.

Ali: Welcome to the world, little sister.

Kıvılcım: Finally your sister is with us.

Nurse: I'm sorry to bother you, but the mother needs to rest. You can come back tomorrow.

Alev: Then we'll come tomorrow.

Sonmez: Rest my daughter.

D/C/M: We'll be there tomorrow.

Pembe: Rest Kıvılcım. Goodbye.

Abdullah: Goodbye.

Omer: Thanks for coming.

Ali: And me? I don't want to go home.

Kıvılcım: You're not coming home. You will stay with us.

Omer: We're staying tonight with your mom and your sister.

She made space on the bed and Ali lay down next to her. Omer sat in the armchair, took off his shirt, and put little Ece on his chest. He swayed gently to put her to sleep. Kıvılcım looked at them and smiled.

After an hour, Kıvılcım woke up. Omer slept on the couch, Ali next to her, and Ece in the crib. She wanted to go to the bathroom, but she had trouble getting up. She woke Omer to help her.

Omer: Hm?

Kıvılcım: Will you help me?

Omer: What happened?

Kıvılcım: I have to go to the bathroom, but I'm having trouble getting out of bed.

Omer: I'm coming.
