If someone were to try and explain how quickly things had escalated in a matter of seconds, it would be deemed unfathomable.

When everyone's eyes had shot over to where the bullet had come from, Nairobi knew that Malaika wouldn't be able to dodge every bullet. Probably most, but definitely not all.

So, she created a distraction.

Looking back at Cairo's wounded body, her heart ached that she had done all that she could do to preserve his life.

Looking at her with tired eyes, he manages to kick his riffle to her, wincing and holding his right ribcage, "You need to do this."

He doesn't know exactly what is happening down below outside of the laboratory, but by the look on his little sister's face, this situation can turn detrimental at any second.

As Cana soldiers come running into the sunroom with a stretcher, a tear slips out of Nairobi's eyes, giving Cairo a short nod before turning her back on him, making sure the weapon is fully loaded.

"Love you, Mina." Cairo choked out in pain while being carried out.

"Promise me I'll see you when I get back to the palace, Shiloh." Nairobi pleads, refusing to turn around to look at him.

Without hearing his answer, Nairobi starts to rain bullets out from the top of the lab, specifically aiming at those who were near a now struggling Malaika.

Once Nairobi had finished her round of bullets, she dove behind her and took cover behind the entryway to the sunroom, knowing what was about to happen.

The glass-shattering impact of gunfire from her enemies was tearing through the entire sunroom, the chaotic sounds causing her to cover her ears and grimace at the popping.

Retreating to Cairo's office, trying her best to ignore the throbbing pains on the left side of her body, she checked to make sure that Canan's self-destructing plan was in place.

She knew Canan couldn't last forever, no matter how much she wanted it to. And if there was any chance of defeat, she wanted no one to gain access to what her legacy had built. Call it prideful, but blood, sweat, and tears went into what's her home, and she'll be damned if a few fuckers from across the water tried to slither their way in and take what's theirs.

She wasted no time running down the mass of steps to get down to the first floor to help assess the stalemate, but little did she know, she was too late.

Outside of the laboratory possessed a situation so tense that you would do anything to remove yourself from it.

Egypt couldn't put into words how she felt at this exact moment, but she did know that her heart dropped to the depths of hell.
