Y/N's POV

I woke up to an intense pain in my stomach, worse than I had ever felt before. I knew straight away that it was my period, but this felt worse than normal. I checked my clock to find it was 3am, so I slowly got up to head to the bathroom, trying my best to not wake Leah. As I walked, I could feel the pain getting worse, which started to worry me. My periods were always painful, but this felt different.

I sat down on the toilet and felt all the blood gush out of me. My stomach felt like it was tightening, and I began to feel hot and flushed, it felt like some sort of horror movie with all the blood and all my thoughts rushing round my head. I managed to muster the energy to put a pad on, but the second I flushed the toilet I fell to the floor, curling up in a fetus position to attempt to make it better. I lay there for a while, crying in pain and not knowing what to do. I couldn't move.

About 5 minutes later I heard a knock on the bathroom door.

"Y/N?" I heard Leah say.

"Y/N what's wrong? Let me in." she continued.

I continued to cry, knowing I couldn't move to open the door but also angry at myself for waking her.

Leah's POV

I'd woken up to find Y/N not in bed. It worried me so I got out of bed and headed towards the bathroom, to which I found the door locked. I stood there, hoping she was just going to the toilet and then coming back, but I heard her quietly crying to herself, which absolutely broke me.

"Y/N?" I said.

No response.

"Y/N what's wrong? Let me in." I continued, talking softly so she didn't think I was mad.

"I can't move, Leah." she wept from behind the door.

"What do you mean babe?" I asked, starting to catch on that it was her period due to the amount of times I had laid on the floor in pain.

"It hurts, but not like normal." Y/N cried.

"Okay darling don't panic, try and move yourself up to unlock the door, okay? Go as slowly as you need to. I'll go and get you some painkillers." I said, before running downstairs to grab some strong painkillers and some water. I boiled the kettle also, so I could make her a hot water bottle.

I went back upstairs to find the door very slightly open. I pushed it open to find Y/N curled up in a ball on the floor, sobbing and clutching her stomach.

"Hey hey it's okay, I'm here now." I said, sitting down next to her.

I pulled her shaking body closer to me, so that her head was resting on my lap. I stroked her head and hair, helping her calm down a bit. I couldn't bear to see her like this, it was breaking me seeing her in so much pain.

"Babe, can you try and sit up for me so you can take these?" I asked.

"I don't know." she said.

"We need to try so we can get you up off the floor and back into bed. I'm here to help you and I understand how you're feeling, remember." I reassured her, helping her lift herself up so that her back was against the wall.

"Take these, and then we can try and get you back into bed, yeah?" I said while looking her in the eye.

Y/N took the painkillers and took a few deep breaths, before I helped her stand up to head back to our bedroom.

Y/N's POV

The pain wasn't shifting, and I still felt super hot and dizzy. As Leah slowly helped me stand up, I ran over to the toilet to throw up. My phobia of sick made this so much worse, and my sobs started again, with my chest tightening up too.

"Breathe, it's okay, you're okay." Leah said, stroking my back.

"Do you still feel sick or do you feel okay?" she asked.

"Fine. But i'm so scared and feel so ill." I wept into her shoulder.

"Deep breaths Y/N. Come on, let's get you back into bed." Leah whispered, holding me as we walked back to our room.

I got back into bed and put my hot water bottle on my stomach, trying to get myself comfortable.

"Is there anything else you need my darling?" Leah asked me.

"I just want you to hug me." I replied.

"Of course, come here." Leah said, wrapping her arms around me and stroking my head.

"Why has this one been so bad?" I asked.

"I don't know angel, but we'll see how you feel in the morning and if we need some extra assistance we'll get it. Try not to focus on that now, just focus on going back to sleep, okay?"

I nodded.

"Thanks Leah." I said. "I'm sorry for waking you up."

"Don't worry about it, I just wanted to make sure you were okay. That's my main priority."

She placed a small kiss on my forehead and kept me in her arms until we both fell asleep.
