*surprises....

"What are you doing here? I thought we'd talked about this already. Didn't we have a deal?"

The man in black chuckled and shook his hooded head. His face was unable to be seen because of the cloak covering his whole body. His hands were covered with black leather gloves and he just kept where his face should've been to him. His golden eyes glowed in anger and the man just chuckled again.

"I told you I'd be back eventually." The man said in an almost unreal voice. It was a land of the supernatural, but usually the most evil of all had a different aura to them. You could just feel their presence and how it affected the ambient. "I need you to tell me, when am I having her?"

His golden eyes glowed and his fangs slid out. He wasn't going to let him take her. But he had to make a choice. He had made a deal with death, it was whether dealing with a curse that would have them wish they would die, or taking her away from him. He needed to choose. Though, he just couldn't hand her in now. Not that he intended on doing it any longer. But now wasn't the time. She was in a state that just couldn't deal with such things.

"Never." He whispered and Death chuckled. A sinister chuckle.

"You made a deal with me, Angel. Who do you think you're dealing with? Are you serious?" Death asked and watched his golden eyes fall to the ground. "I know how you feel for her, but that's not in my power. We made a deal, it was whether the curse or sacrificing her..." He paused and then smiled, the only thing he could see of his body. A bony smile that could make your spine crackle from all the shivers it would bring to you.

"Tell me my options, Death. I have no time to deal with these games." Angel snarled and Death just chuckled. It was pissing him off, but he had to deal with it. It was already dangerous enough to make a deal with him. He didn't want to know what being on his bad side would bring with him.

"Like I do? There are lives out there I need I take, my dear friend." Death answered, but nodded anyway. "Yes, you have other choices. But, the question is, are you willing to risk any of them? For a woman that's not even your mate?"

Angel didn't doubt on nodding and kept his face straight. He had left his mate back where she belonged. He couldn't be with her. He didn't need her as much as he thought he would. Innocence had made him see and feel things he thought he was incapable of feeling or seeing. He wouldn't risk her.

Death chuckled and shook his head. "It's disturbing to know how narcissistic you can be, Angel. You only care for what you want." He said but Angel didn't bite back. He knew what was good for him, and that was keeping his mouth shut. "Good boy. Now, here are your options, lover boy..."

Angel watched him take out a book and blow the dust from it. He opened it and looked through the many pages it had. All yellow and dusty. He kept humming some kind of melody to himself and that made Angel feel impatient. But he didn't say a thing. He just waited. It wasn't every day you made a deal with death, so he had to watch his actions carefully.

"Here we are." Death announced and sighed tiredly. "So, you whether sacrifice her, your son, or yourself. You choose."

Angel stared at him and then at the ground. He couldn't believe this...

"My son?" He asked and looked up at death. "I'm having a son?"

Even if he already knew this, that he was going to be a father, he didn't know it was going to be a male...

"Yes, Lannister. You're having a son." Death said, sounding bored and impatient. "But it's up to you to choose what you want. Do you want to live? Or do you want the lady to live with your damned kid?"

The word damned made him shiver slightly. He knew the consequences of taking her when she was ovulating. But he just couldn't help himself. He needed her as much as she needed him. He wanted to take that huge step. Even if it meant to have a damned child. A damned son...

"Can't you at least wait until he's born for me to decide?" Angel asked and Death sighed.

"It's been almost nine months, death boy. The more you make me wait, the less options you have.." He answered and then his voice turned lower. "The more time you lose..."

Angel swallowed and nodded, knowing his options.

"I know how it is. I just want to be able to hold my son before I am to leave him..." He said and sighed. Death chuckled again and let out an impressed sigh.

"Ah, so you're willing to sacrifice yourself for her?" He asked and rolled his eyes, though no one but him could see it. "You're pathetic. And to think you took out an army of 300 and killed your own father. Well, at least you'll see him. Unless..."

Angel looked at him and Death shut the dusty book. Unless what?

"Unless..." Death trailed off on purpose and smirked. "...You're willing to stay on earth, with me... Let's say... as my sidekick, perhaps? Ah, yes... my sidekick." He said and seemed delighted by the idea. "You'd make a great sidekick for me.."

Angel furrowed his eyebrows but then studied his options. Perhaps that would give him a reason to see his son. He would have the opportunity of doing so. Still, he knew this wasn't free. There had to be a reason why he wanted to give him a chance on earth.. and such job.

"Why do you want me as your sidekick? I'm just another damned being you're supposed to take down. Why have me by your side?" He asked Death. He just smirked down at him with his bony smile and gave a terrifying chuckle.

"You see, Angel..." he started and intertwined his fingers together. "It would be of much help to have you with me. You're very powerful and wise, you could be of lots of help in the underworld. I need someone agile, heartless, and able to take charge whenever I'm not available. I believe your powers could help me a lot..."

Death watched him and his golden eyes glow. He knew he would agree, and this delighted him. He could use him for so many things. Evil? Perhaps. But Death was between good and evil, just taking souls and guiding them to their respective destinations. The damned would go straight to hell, the blessed would go to heaven. Yet, the ones that had no real destination would stay around or would be swallowed by him, ended. It was his job to take lives and guide souls to their different destinations. Yet, he also had other tasks to attend. And would need assistance to continue doing his job as he always did. He was very, very old her very, very powerful. Still... Angel could be of use. A lot of use... and he knew Innocence could, too, as well as their son. But, for some reason, he knew Angel would be more willing to do so. So, since he knew Angel wanted to save her soul and their son, he would sacrifice himself to leave them keep on living how they should before all of this ever happened.

"So, what do you say, Angel boy? Will you help an old friend out?" Death asked and gave him a fake hopeful look. Angel sighed and nodded. Death chuckled. "That a boy... For being such a good fella, I might keep giving you a month to be with your damned family in mind."

Angel swallowed and clenched his jaw, but nodded anyway. He needed to do this. For his son's sake. And for Innocence as well.

"I'll see you in four more months, Angel boy..." Death said and moved his leather covered bony hand to his shoulder. "How does 'Angel of Death' sound to you? Huh? It sounds good... I like the ring to it..."

Death gave out a sinister laugh and walked down the hall. He turned around the corner and disappeared. Everything felt like coming back to normal and Angel sighed in relief.

"Four more months..."
