"Will you be alright on your own?" Ginny asked me and I looked ahead towards the beach.

"You think she wouldn't be? Look at the way she's glowing." Sophie expressed and touched my skin. She faked the sound of something sizzling and pulled her finger back. "She's on fire!"

I laughed and shook my head. My friends were really weird at times. But I was thankful to have them.

"I'll be fine." I said and smiled at them.

Abel was leaning against the car while Jake poked his head out of the backseat window. Ginny and Sophie were standing with me besides the car. I was trying to think of what to expect, but came out empty. I expected the unexpected.

"Well, I better go now..." I said and looked at the time. "It's about to be midnight. And I think this freak is a punctual freak. Wouldn't want me to be late..."

Sophie rolled her eyes and shook her head.

"He's just another freak. Don't worry about him much." She said and I smiled at her.

"Well, off you go, darling!" Jake faked a British accent and waved dramatically at me. "Be safe and don't get too close to the mermaids! They say they can get pretty mad at night..."

I laughed and shrugged.

"I won't, Jake. I promise." I said and he nodded, going back into the car and focusing on his PSP. I looked at the others and watched Abel walk over to me. He looked down at me and patted my back.

"Off you go, soldier." He said and I rolled my eyes. "Make us proud..."

I faked a military salute and he smirked.

"Yes, sir.."

Ginny gave me one last hug and walked over to the passenger's seat. Sophie smirked and winked at me, then walked to the other back door. Abel nodded and walked to the driver's seat. I nodded and waved at them as they drove away. They waved back and I watched them leave down the road. Once they were out of sight, I sighed and readied myself.

I decided to wear combat boots, a pair of black track pants and a black tank top. I wore my black hoodie over my head and had a backpack over my shoulders in case I needed any blood or extra food or whatever. I was ready.

I began walking down the port and then made my way down the stairs. There were a few people in the beach. Just night creatures bathing and enjoying themselves. I looked around between the people but didn't seem to find my objective. Where is he?

I walked over to the bathrooms and leaned against the wooden fence* in front of them. I kept studying my options and what I could do. I knew I was ready for this. I didn't knew what exactly I was going to do, but I'd be ready for anything.

I felt a chilly breeze hit my side like a truck and looked towards where it came from. I found nothing and furrowed my eyebrows. I was about to see what it was, but I was startled by a voice to my right. Jesus, fuck! Does he want to kill me?!

"Nope. Other side." He said and I spun around to face him. My eyes narrowed and he gave me an amused look. Asshole... "Hey..."

I clenched my jaw and stood a decent distant from him, keeping my muscles ready for any blow. He seemed to notice my tense state and sighed. He leaned against the fence* and looked out into the horizon. I just watched him.

"I won't hurt you..." He whispered and I rolled my eyes.

"That's not what intended in the first place, was it?" I asked sarcastically and he looked at me from the corner of his eye. I just shook my head and sighed. "What do you want? I don't have time. I had to lie to Ken to come here. Or else he wouldn't had left me come."
